“How To Get Your Man To Do Housework” Who says he doesn’t do it…big daddy & I do what needs to be done to maintain our home. Big daddy’s cooking is actually edible and he knows where the hamper is too. He really helps by not putting his clothes on the floor or on a chair. Sure, I do the laundry (he helps with folding), but it helps when he doesn’t just drop it on the floor.

I have no problem sharing the housework duties with the woman….who knows when she might go away on a vacation or get sick….share the duties with her, and I used to say “get more done, have more fun”…….

@ jazzwatch… I don’t help my woman in sharing the housework duties because she may go away on a vacation or get sick. I want to help my woman because I know that helping her helps me, too. LOL… Besides, it’s just dang nice… LOL… She’s not the only one in the house, so she should not be the only one doing ALL the work. My style is to observe what household duties she feels she does best and help her out IF she needs help in that arena while doing whatever else needs to be done. If my woman wants me to do something concerning housework out of my style, then comes the compelling and encouragement mentioned in my response to cmarac06 as and after I attempt to do so.

I have always been a leader in the kitchen, laundry room, and household repairs. I came from a time when in High School, a lot of us MEN worked in the construction field, when men were men, in relation to household repair. When mothers taught men to cook, clean, and maintain ones self without turning Boys to women.

Unfortunately, my son is lazy and this article will end up applying to him if he does not step his game up. :-0(

I think this issue comes up a lot for married people.  I am not married, but I have heard that a common complaint from wives is that their husbands want more action in the bedroom, but they are too tired from doing things like working a full time job, cooking for the household, and doing housework to comply with their husband’s request.  I have heard multiple people say that if the husband would just run the dishwasher every once in a while or take out the trash it would free the wife up to meet him in the bedroom.  ;)
