I am convinced this site is a means of belittling African Americans and try to continue to make us believe that something is wrong w/ us. These types of articles, promote self hate and only add fuel to the fire, making us hate ourselves and each other. This new form of slavery is the reason we can’t bound together and become one as a kind because we are constantly being told what’s “wrong” about us instead of celebrating what is right about us. i dont think that a couple of interacial couples will destroy the african american population. i dont think black women are doing anything wrong. i also see no honor in sterotyping all black women as a certain way. honestly, i think the biggest problem facing black couples is the hiearchy of american society. 2 often we have our culture and moral temprature dictated 2 us by those who seek 2 sell us products (BET, even BP). on the other side of the spectrum, there is a shortage of black men in places that generate the most money. i dont mean athletes or rappers, as they only make up a minor demographic of african american males. i mean the banking, healthcare, and administration positions are disproportionatley distributed to females, leaving a SOME black men to question their rightfull place with the black women. white women are flooded with white males in these job markets to socialize with, and it is my theory that they quietly look for sexual gratification with the black men SOME black women may look past because of his low place in society. i also feel that if the 1/3 of the black male population were not victimized by the american criminal justice sytem, there would be less interracial relationships.

It seems to me that MANY Black ‘Women’ SAY they want ONE THING, but really desire ANOTHER THING ENTIRELY. Most of my friends who are in relationships regardless of their color or age or status have the same drama. I have an educated white woman who is a dear friend of mine… her husband is a lawyer. And I find these types of compromises in 99.9 percent of relationships I encounter. This is pointless, if you are black, white, brown, green, whatever color, you are going to kick it with the man or woman you feel comfortable with. If that man or woman is another color so what. Without really watching the video or reading anyone else’s comment, I feel that black relationships don’t last is bcuz of the brainwashing of the slavery days. This Willie Lynch character really did his job when it came to segregating our ppl. Black folks don’t know how to share genuine love amongst each other for the fact of being stigmatized throughout centuries of hate amongst other racial groups until it has finally plagued our own. “The system” made sure that black men were taken out of the home and therefore missing out of the children’s lives that they’ve conceived so that the legacy of dysfunction and chasing after the white man’s “american dream” became prevalent. Meanwhile, generations upon generations of black families have been beaten down to lower their standards in the choice of finding a compatible mate bcuz they were not taught to learn to love themselves 1st. It was always looked at the status choas perceptions. They were taught to settle for a “peice” of a relationship bcuz of the so-called sake of the children or bcuz of the providance of the man or something superficial as being someone’s “trophy”. Listening to things like, “Love don’t pay the bills” has caused black women to only look for men with financial means of providing for them meanwhile, causing them to degrade themselves just to achieve it. Or if not that, becoming so independant from a man to the point where her standards have risen and any sign of a black man not meeting the qualifications of producing complementation to her already established assets don’t get a second glance in their direction. So black men think that ALL black women are gold-digging hoes that like to scheme to get in somebody’s pockets and they treat ALL women accordingly therefore thinking of themselves as this so-called, “space-aged wanna be pimps”.

I admit, trying to find REAL love and TRUE committment in the black race is over-exhausting, depressing and overwhelming. I was just thinking about that today after talking to my daughter’s dad that I’ve realized that I wasted alot of precious time, effort, money and love on some sorry-no-good-for-nothing-but-a-nutt black bastard that I’m now no longer interested in finding love or even accepting love from others. I mean, here I am, a good hearted and spirited woman and all and all that I’ve ever experienced with black men are dysfunctional issues and drama. Lying, cheating, manipulation, trying to control me, not motivated to do better, c**ky, egotistical, selfish, greedy, evil hearted and spirited men in my life. I have not met a guy that is my equal. I either always have a dude that is intimadated of me and tries to tear me down or a dude that is so worthless that dependent on me that I feel like I wear the pants in the relationship.

Point blank…black men have become too watered down for me. Always want to be taken care of but never reciprocate the feelings. And I realize the black women that have low self-esteem, low self-worth and value will always have a man in their life if they’re willing to put up with the BS that black men in this day have to offer. It’s all bcuz they fear being alone. BUMP THAT! I say. Shoot, I love myself more than that to the point that I will sacrifice finding love and being in a relationship with anybody. My sanity and peace of mind is waaaaaaaayyyyyyy more valuable than fearing being alone. I mean forreal though…what’s the use of being with somebody when all they do is bring you drama and disrupting your auroa of joy, peace and love? Causing you heartache, disappointment and pain? I’ll leave that to those hopeless romantics that think lust is love. And thinking that giving a man all of you to the point where you lose your identity in hopes of changing him is your lifelong mission. Not me! Being there, done that and can write a book about the do’s and don’ts of it. It’s not worth it! It just ain’t worth it! Ppl this day and age have too many issues and my motto is if somebody is not working with you or for you to help keep things in perspective, then they are working against you. So why mess with someone that is working against everything that you’re working for? I’ve said this time and time again… I’m cool being alone. I really enjoy it quite frankly. You know why? I think the three guests in the video all hit on good points. Without being able to communicate (that means actually listening to the other person that is talking, instead of talking AT the other person!) you are already sabotaging any potential relationship before it even starts.

I think what may be happening is that some ladies feel that if they don’t get their point of view out that instant that they will never get to express it. However when you couple that with the other points mentioned in the video it is easy to see how exasperated this situation can become. Which is why the relationships amongst our people are breaking down.

I think there are a lot of problems with black relationships. Too many to list. Maybe black women need to start dating better men. If more women dated good guys and only good guys, men would change. I remember when I was younger so many black women would tell me or my friends they were too nice. I never could understand that. Because of these comments so many black men have ran off to different races. Now on the other hand there are too many young black men and women that listen to these rap songs and try to live these lives that are always real. We as black men need to stay out of jail and get jobs, raise our kids and be leaders. There are too many young kids growing up without a clue. Why is it that we have kids but we wont get married. Too many people are growing up thinking that is ok. Which leads to sex but not relationships.

Lets face it men love being single and playing the field and women dont. So women have to start changing their approach on dating. I can tell you this. I’m sick of meeting women and all they seem like they want is your money. Lets be real we all have jobs now. Why do you expect me to pay for everything. Lets say the average couple goes out on their first date. If we go to a movie thats 30 bucks with tickets and popcorn easily, if not more. Then lets say you go out for a few drink. After 3 to 4 a piece thats easily $ 40.00. So if you do that twice a week it adds up. Dating isnt cheap and too many sistas feel as if a brother owes them. Now I’m not even talking about the sistas I have met that right off the back demand you get them things, and take them places. Some even run some weak game with a sob story and how you should help them pay some type of bill. Maybe more of us should go dutch? After all arent we both looking for a companion, not just the men? this is a question that will last for as long as the earth turns. like kat williams said… if you over 25 and still feel that black men aint s**t… then you need to look at yoself cuz you must be an aint s**t woman. what is it about you that attracts aint s**t men??? but seriously, to have a good relationship you have to understand BOTH parties in one. Im 24 and i’ve asked older men whats the way to keep a happy home(marriage). 9 out of 10 said “no matter what she is always right. thats the way to keep the peace.” my response to that was “who is peaceful is im pose to always give in to her?’ most men have been brain washed to believe that but our newer generation is not too willing to accept craziness like that. Plus not too many women will give up the fact that when it comes to a relationship you have to give as much as you receive. Most i’ve learned compromise on issues that really werent all that important in the first place then use that as leverage for their man to compromise on something that he wouldnt do in normal circ**stances.
But truthfully the issue of black relationships are much deeper than that… lets face it, most black women dont know what a good man looks like becuz we live in a materialistic world and are more focused on what you have (outter) instead of what you bring to the table (inner).

but it is much deeper than that… 65% of us was raised in a single parent home. no if you are a woman raised by a single mother, what are the chances that your moms gave you sound advise on what a good man is? chances are slime mainly becuz if she is still single she doesnt know herself. she has breed you to be an independent woman and dont need a man… sounds like a formula of hooking that special someone right? more than likely your mother has brought you up focused on education but never really went into details on what to educate yourself on. its the same fondation to why poor people stay poor… how can my mother teach me about money if she her doesnt have any…

Now say you grew up with both parents (I have two girls myself and i know that im guilty of this) most men tend to spoil their girls putting it into their heads that they can do no wrong and that they are princesses and deserve the world. True as it is, we never stop and explain to them that to deserve the world you have to earn it and not think it should be handed into you. women grow and still have that mentality and expect the man she is dating to continue with how her father acted. but there is a big diff. I do that becuz you are my child i helped make you so of coarse there is more there, this man couldnt pick you out a line up before he intro himself to you. To be treated like a queen you must first know what that role is a then play it always.
Why do we black men date outside the race… simple less drama and sad but true most women of other races are more compromising and are willing to stand aside and let a man be THE man of the relationship… why? because thats how they were brought up.

First of all pretty much everyone who commented had a good point. I agree that black relationships are not the only relationships that have problems, but I think that a lot more black relationships don’t last and end up with a baby daddy and a baby momma. I personally think that like some have mentioned, the fact that there are so many single mothers raising children in the black community is hurting us and our children from having healthy relationships. If a single mother is raising a daughter she can teach her how to be a woman but she can’t teach her how a man should treat her, what I mean is that the role of a father is soooo important in both little girls and boys. A little girl learns how a man is supposed to treat her by seeing what a good man is like. Having her father in her life and showing her all the things that a real man is is beneficial for her. Just like having a father in the little boy’s life is very important too b/c a little boy needs to know that it is important to be a man of their word, to be strong, honest, and a real man. It is very important that both the mother and the father are involved in raising our children. Statistic have proven that father-less little girls grow up searching for a male influence and become promiscuous looking for the attention they missed in a father and end up finding it in the wrong kind of men, and little boys only see their mothers working and taking care of business so they don’t see how a real man is supposed to be. For example, I am a single mother and I have tried hard for all of my son’s 7 almost 8 yrs on this earth to try and make his father be a good one…lesson learned is that I cannot make a man be a good father he has to want to, but b/c my son saw his father sitting on the couch playing video games and not contributing to the bills and responsibilities, he thought that it was ok for a man not to work. Now I am no longer with his father because he was no good, but my son had actually told me that he wasn’t going to work like daddy, so already at a young age he thought it was ok for a woman to bring home the bacon and for the man to not lift a finger. This angered me and made me promise that since his father refuses to be a man and teach him to be a man that I will do all in my power to teach him what a real man is. Now although his own father is not that good, I try to surround him with positive black men such as my brother who has done things right; he has his PhD, has no kids and is married. And my father who is a wonderful black man, so ladies even if your child’s father is not in the picture, please make sure that you surround them with some sort of good black men. I think that we as blacks do make excuses but we have to stop! We never that that we would have a black president bi-racial or not he is black and so that shows that there is no limit to what we as black people can achieve, the sky is the limit. Some of the richest people in the world are our black people…Oprah, Beyonce and Jay Z….if you dream it you can do it! One thing that I noticed is that we, and I do mean all of us has done it a time or too, but we hate on our own people too much…we need to uplift each other and be in each other’s corners. We need to stop being so judgmental of our own people. We judge each other on the way we talk, dress, dance, who we date, etc. Another thing is that a lot of black men will make babies with our sistas but don’t marry them, but if you see a black man get a white girl pregnant he marries her??? What is with that? Msveevee1 I agree with you 100%! We as women need to stop enabling those black men who want to stay feeling sorry for themselves, who don’t want to get a 9-5 but can go spend hours at a studio, fathers who say they can’t afford child support, yet can afford to buy weed every week, men who try and verbally, physically, mentally abuse you, men who try and stop you from succeeding, men who try and just bring you down. Sometimes we do it to ourselves and I was once doing the same thing but I have seen that it was hurting me more in the end. Maybe if we show these black men that we are not willing to put up with that s**t, then maybe they will have no choice but to change and better themselves instead of turing to us to fix their problems when we need to fix our own. Some men say that black women won’t let them wear the pants in the relationship, well if you can then trust we would love for you to. Do you think that we like being the mother and the father and having to do everything by ourselves? Duh we don’t, but when you get made and say you want to wear the pants, make sure that the pants even fit you, b/c I’m sick of men saying that to me and then not able to take care of everything…ya’ll want to be the man, but not in the position to do so…get it together please. So to Kevanj…how can a woman submit to a man and let him be the head of the house, if they are not standing up to that title? Yes I do agree that slavery did have an impact on our relationships, b/c like they mentioned the black man was ripped out of the lives of their family and made to go work and procreate to make more slaves. Because back in Africa, before we were taken into captivity and enslaved, the black men were the providers…they would go out and hunt and bring back the food for his family, but since slavery they took the men and the woman were left to take care of everything, but we cannot keep on using slavery as an excuse. We know what we need to do and we need to stop making excuses for ourselves and help each other. We need to be there for our children and it is our job to teach them about life otherwise they will be lost. It says in the Bible that it is our jobs as parents to guide our children and teach them right and wrong and if we don not, then we the parents will be held accountable. Whether or not we are with the other parent of our children, we need to make sure our kids get what they deserve…to have a mother and a father. So to all the good black successful men out there, thank you for being a good example of what a real man is and to all those strong black women who take care of their children hold things down thank you for being strong and a good provider!

Interesting post Niki711. I enjoyed reading it and I’m glad that you have chosen good men for your son to observe and emulate. I’m a black man, college educated, childless, working and applying to medical school next year. Just like the comments from the video, I have been in relationships where there was always a constant power struggle. I try not to let that deter me because I love and cherish black women and will do what is necessary to make it work. Last year, I experienced a painful break-up from a beautiful, highly-educated woman that I adored (and still do). She and I spoke often of having children and planning for our future. She was and still is, headstrong and an authority on everything. Although we didn’t argue alot, we argued enough for us to sever our union. I was hoping it was another brief spat from stubborn pride but sadly that wasn’t the case. In one month’s time, she got a new dude in her life. I’ve heard from one of her relatives (and it has been confirmed by others) that he’s a trifling, younger, yes-man of a dude that has three babies and is working on number four with her. Ostensibly, child support is kicking his ass and everyone around her is telling her she will be raising this baby by herself. Not to mention, medical problems may preclude her from carrying the child to term. Everyday I kick myself for letting this one go as I know and felt in my heart that she was the one I was going to grow old with. Although I’m not ready to give up or give in (as I want to initiate a renewal of our relationship) but I realize she and I will have to subdue our passions in wanting to be right in order for the relationship to flourish. To that end, we need to be men in our relationships and present that from day one. This means that we have to take the lead and not look back. I know I’m preaching to the choir but petty arguments over who is right or who is wrong will ruin the bonds in a relationship. Our ladies need to know that we respect their strength and nurturing spirit. Compromise is great as long mutual respect is established on those grounds. And lastly, I humbly believe (and I’m paraphrasing 2 Corinthians 6:14) that two people should be equally yoked. Speaking from personal experience, if you’re not you’ll most assuredly and regretfully grow apart.

My first solution for black relationships, is communication! We need to learn how to communicate instead of lashing out with rage and anger towards each other. I always tell myself that arguments are useless and pointless. Because one is never heard. However if you have a “conversation” you can be heard. Once you have agreed to have a conversation and or discussion then you can be heard! And then you will know why this man or woman is feeling this way. And if you care for that person enough you will come to a conclusion on how to come to a mutual agreement. So my solution is communication because a lot of black relationships(not all) do lack this because both black male’s and female’s have dominate and strong personality. And running off to another race because the “black woman” or the black man has pissed you off is not the answer. However if you are attracted and you connect with someone of another race that’s fine. But don’t subject yourself to another race because you allowed a few women or men in your race to so call “push you” to that limit.

I noticed that this is just another subject to focus the blame on black women for not being in a relationship. This subject is so TIRED and misinformative until it’s not funny.
So, as stated by the interviewer…..there are one point something million more black women than black men. The question should be……. WHY?????? Only a small percentage of our men marry outside of their race, so that is not the reason. Let’s appoach this subject from the front end and not the rear end. No one wants to deal with the WHY of this statement. Why are there so many more of us black women then black men?? Ah-ha, because if we approched it from the front end the question would be….Why are so many of our men in prison, being killed off, on drugs, and all of the other things that would cause us to have a shortage of men which would also cause us to take a deeper look into the reasons. And God, forbid we don’t want to do that. We would much rather put a bandage on the question, in the form of it being the black woman’s fault, and call it a solution rather than really dealing with the real issues. All in all I agree its both Black men and women’s fault, I just don’t like how in most cases as far as what the Black women needs to do either gets sugarcoated or disregarded altogether.

I feel that both Black Women and Black Men share the responsibility for the way things have gone so far in the Relationship realm. But.. The simple fact is that Women have more power than Men do sexually. An unattractive Woman STILL gets MUCH more ‘Play’ from guys than an unattractive Man does from girls. See? Men have the (almost seemingly ‘uncanny’) ability to ‘Look Past’ visual flaws. Whether or not it’s only for sexual reasons as it just may be in some cases. In all.. I feel that it’s up to the Women to start thinking harder as far as their dating habits and re-evaluate their priorities because when the Relationship ends, it’s usually the Women who get stuck raising the kids alone, with or without financial assistance from the biological father (in most cases not). And thus begins the cycle-> Woman raises child alone, child realizes one day that they DID have a biological father, child wonders where he is, child feels regret, disappointment, anger/bitterness and other negative emotions, mother may or may not make negative statements about the missing father, child feels even worse thinking that they’re own existence is possibly a mistake, self-esteem lowers even more, child sees a few kids at school WITH their fathers/Male Role Models (step-dads), child forms negative opinions of Men in general, child grows up looking for Father-Figures in all the WRONG PLACES (Music Videos, Movies, etc.), male/female child begins dating/imitating guys that strongly resemble the images that they’ve been exposed to, and it goes on and on. The problem has been around for a very long time now, and it’s only growing more and more common and thus a bigger problem. A wise man once said ‘It is no measure of health to be well-adjusted to a profoundly sick society.”. The day that we decide that it’s ‘normal’ for a child to be raised in a single-parent household, is the day our (Black People’s) population is doomed and is closing in on the last lap of the race. OUR race. :-(

My son is 11 and has been living with me since he was about 9 months old. His mother isn’t really in his life at all. :-(

Haha…The host of this segment has some hood in her! Overall, this was some real talk…the race thing is a cop-out used to try to justify the high precentages against black women. But I do agree with what was being said for the most part; as a multicultural individual including (african american/blackfoot indian and german), I do associate more with being black even though the stereotypes that are out there are lingering against me. As black women…we need to learn to be more refined. Be open to the possibilities because nothing happens like christmas morning and nothing that glitters is always gold. And remember HONESTY and COMMUNICATION is key :)

I’m no relationship expert so I don’t know what the hell is going on, I’ve dated several different races and I gotta admit, dating sisters is hard and stressful.

I’m not really liking those that commented that its all women’s faults and everything is based on a woman’s views/opinions/choices. Men have to face up to their responsibilities too. For the most part we all know that women are smarter than me bcuz we are both side of the brain thinkers while men are one sided. Plus, bcuz women have the ability and is not ashamed to express emotions (which our Creator blessed us to have), men, on the other hand, chose to use man’s bravado to hide their’s while trying not to seem sensitivity.

Now for one, if ppl just ask themselves what they want and are looking for in a potential mate and not just settle for anyone bcuz of the superficialities like material things (cars, clothes, jewelry, financial status, bodies, ass, titties, hair, eyes…I think yall get my point, huh?) and look deep down in the soul (the spirit within), then perhaps your potential mate findings will be more easier bcuz you have found the value and worth between yall. Now we know that NOBODY IS PERFECT and will NEVER be. So then the next question is, are you willing to compromise and use your strengths where they are weak and vice versa? Ppl see one or two flaws in someone and then all of a sudden they close the deal on the relationship. So many men play games by lying while trying to impress until when he’s finally exposed, the relationship has failed. Don’t get me wrong fellas, women do the same things to (all except this one bcuz I don’t have time waste like that).

The main problem is that this generation lack love. Pure and genuine love. Just imagine what it would be like if ppl actually lived how the Creator intended for it to be. Everyone smiling with joy in their hearts and feeling compassion in their hearts for others to help those that need it. Ppl who’s auoras are positive and optimistic. Who always have the right things to say and help solve problems instead of create them. Point blank is that ppl have bad spirits and everyone is not meant to be together in relationships especially if their life, identity and ways of vewing life is not positive. I sure would LOVE to see how it could’ve been if the evil of men didn’t prevail so strongly today. If you have a partner that you love, then I’m sure you can dick them down on a regular basis. But then there’s those men that think,” I need a variety” and that’s bull. You men don’t know that women are waiting on a man to sweep them off their feet and show them the LOVE THAT THEY DESERVE. Being that is says in the bible that a man that finds a woman finds a good thing, women are single bcuz black men have not stopped being such conniving, lusting, w***e-monging, s**t hounds to want to committ to ONE woman. Women would be married if they went out of tradition and asked a man to marry her. But then once again, it didn’t say in the bible that a woman that finds a husband finds a good thing. So that means that men are the ones that have to set their pride and egoisms aside so that they can find their wife. And that means to be satisfied with the one they chose and not feel compelled to think they’re “missing out” on what they COULD be doing out there in the world.

So if ppl knew who they were (and it SHOULD be that you are a child of a loving and wonderful God), then ALL relationships regardless of race would not be suffering, confused or lost. So for those men that commented and said that its bcuz of women….NO! It’s bcuz of YOU! Do a self-evaluation. What do you want? What are you looking for? How do you want to be treated? How should you treat others? And most importantly….WHO ARE YOU? Everyone on this earth can have someone in their life if they would just follow the simple rules of loving themselves, loving others and loving God. But bcuz ppl don’t do any of these things for whatever reasons, divorce rates will continue to sky-rocket as well as teenage pregancies and out-of-wedlock pregnancies, low-self esteem, hate, jealousy, murders, deceit, lust, affairs and ALL the negative things that go on in this world today. I happen to be one of the few ppl that has decided to remove relationships out of my list of priorities. Bcuz best believe…I may have 99 problems, but a man ain’t one of them!

the measure of success in a man eyes is family, the woman he calls his wife and the his legacy, his kids. the measure of success in a womans’ eye is materialistic, the brand of car she gets to ride, the name on her purse and shoes. we men set out to find someone who is just as visually stimulating as she is mentally, for the most it’s just more visual and less mental.

I have said this once and I will say it again….There is nothing wrong with dating outside your race! We all answer to the same God in the end. In heaven (or hell for that matter) there is no race classification!

Having said that, I am totally open to dating outside my race. As a Black woman, I think that all Black women should be open to it b/c there are so few Black men for every Black woman. The men don’t have a problem doing it. Why do we try to be so “loyal” when there are all types of other races of men that love us (strong opinions and ALL)? I am not one of the women described above as having an attitude all the time or a “sour-puss”, but I do have my opinions and my own personality and I am not going to hold that back for anybody! I am an individual with opinions and beliefs and “quirks” and I don’t think that “submitting” to a man should mean holding any of that back to boost his ego…..I am not Beyonce (don’t care for the Big Ego dudes, at all).

Maybe that is why I am so open to other races of men in the first place….because it seems to me that Black men don’t know how to be sensitive and caring and supportive of the women they are with. Black men seem to want the support and caring to be one-sided (always women treating the men like “kings” and making them dinner, not arguing with them, etc.). I see Black women in relationships with men of other races and they don’t have that problem…its about balance. I care just as much as you care. I do for you just as much as you do for me. I respect you as a human being and you respect me as a human being. That is what a relationship is about. If I have to look outside my own race to find that, then I will.

These are issues that women from all ethnic and racial backgrounds experience. How can you attribute a specific set of characteristics to a broad range of individuals. Black women’s personalities range just like our hues. Not all of us have attitudes, financial problems, or issues with men but when we make that clear we are “too independent,” “too strong,” or we “don’t know how to let a man be a man,” etc. Black women know how to be submissive, but we are not going to submit to a weak man or a man who cannot control his own affairs. Would you go to a man who filed Bankruptcy and ask him where to invest your money? Would you ask someone who has been divorced for advice on how to have a happy marriage? This is ridiculous and it is not a Black thing…It is a woman thing. Who cares who anyone dates? As long as you are being treated with dignity and respect and you are truly happy. Not every Black woman gets offended when she sees a Black man with a woman of a different ethnicity or race. I personally do not care. I know a lot of good educated Black men that have their priorities in line and who just want to be happy with Black women and many of them are. A personality is a personality and it doesn’t matter what shape, size, color, creed, race, ethnicity, or nationality it comes in if it is unpleasant, it is unpleasant. And if one really wants to get to the meat of things, it is mostly women of other ethnicities who talk about Black women. All men do not have problems with Black women, just like all Black women do not have problems with Black men or a men of other ethnicities. But I can understand why some women feel the need to point the finger to get the attention off of their own flaws. And for the record, there are a lot of men of different ethnicities who love Black women and one of them may be your man. A good man (regardless of race) will see your qualities and appreciate you for them.

It is also important to understand that the media frames problems for us to ponder. Is there really a problem? I doubt it. There have always been married and single people. I for one am an intelligent Black woman who is single but I don’t place blame on anyone in particular. I will always love Black man if not for just the mere fact that they are so fine. I think people read too much into it.
