All-White Adaptation Of ‘The Wiz’ Angers Parents
A Syracuse high school’s rendition of the 1978 classic, “The Wiz” angered many parents because the powers that be chose to cast no one of color in any of the main or supporting roles. Only seven of the 93 Black kids in the school auditioned, so it’s not like the production team had a lot of color to choose from.
