Besides it being a fun song musically, he was preaching! The lyrics are church, but I especially love the throwback to his song “Judge Not” in the background lyrics: ‘The road of life is rocky, and you may stumble too. So while you point a finger, someone else is judging you’.

“‘Buffalo Soldier’ has the most incredible set of drums in the beat. When I hear it I feel like I’m on an island and I just want to smoke a doobie while grooving out with a slow wine. It has such a mellow vibe and makes me feel good.”

This song is the perfect anthem for a summer festival at a wine garden. Grab your blankets, brings your besties (and don’t forget your favorite shades) and prepare to be in a wine induced trance for the afternoon.

This is one of Bob’s most simple tunes as the lyrics constantly repeat, begging his woman to let him give her some “good lovin’.” I love how sensual and deliberate this song is. It’s such a classic.
