When I first heard Ariana Grande sing this song, I swore it was an old Mariah Carey song that I never heard before! When I found out that this amazing voice belonged to 20 year old Ariana Grande, I was blown away and instantly became a fan! Ariana has a hit on her hands with this one!

5. Jay-Z “Tom Ford”

Of course, no playlist would be complete without at least one song from Jay Z. Although Jay didn’t release this song until the middle of the summer, it’s still a fave!

Drake possibly ran this summer with “Started From The Bottom”, “No New Friends”, “Girls Love Beyonce” and more. His “turn up anthem”, “Versace”, is definitely a party starter and will probably be included in the best songs of the fall and winter playlist also!

9. Tamar Braxton “The One”

The youngest of the Braxton clan, Tamar Braxton, has given us nothing short of greatness since she came on the music scene as a solo artist and got rid of any misconceptions of being “Toni Braxton’s little sister”. “The One” samples Mtume’s classic hit ‘Juicy Fruit” and makes you feel all warm and tingly inside as Tamar sings about love and being in love with ‘the one’. The music video is also one of those fun, summer time visuals that makes you want to hang out and have some fun in the sun!
