This is tough. J. Cole, Kendrick Lamar and Drake had incredible albums this years. But only one can take home the award for “Best Male Hip Hop Artist.” Big Sean, Common and Wale were also nominated.

Of course Beyonce is a shoo-in for “Best Female R&B/Pop Artist,” but Ciara, Janelle Monae, Jhene Aiko, K. Michelle and Rihanna aren’t going down without a fight!

While she has some competition this year, Nicki Minaj is the top contender for “Best Female Hip Hop Artist” in a category with Dej Loaf, Iggy Azalea, Tink Trina and Azealia Banks.

After snagging an Academy Award for their collaboration “Glory,” John Legend and Common will take on August Alsina and Nicki Minaj, Big Sean and E-40, Chris Brown/ Lil Wayne and Tyga, Chris Brown/Usher and Rick Ross and Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars for “Best Collaboration” at the BET Awards.
