1. The 45th NAACP Image Award Nominees For Outstanding Music Video
Dancing and having a good time playing a song on your iPod is a different experience from listening to it along with visuals. These artists, from John Legend to Janelle Monae, busted their creative chops to pull off music videos that we want to repeat over and over again. Here are the nominees for "Outstanding Music Video" at the NAACP Awards.
2. India.Arie "Cocoa Butter"
We love a good India.Arie song about chocolate skin and beautiful textures, and this one pleased us immensely. India looks effervescent in this video and we loved it's airy vibe.
3. Alicia Keys & Maxwell "Fire We Make"
This song already has romantic-Prince vibes in it, and the video certainly doesn't lack romantic energy. Alicia and Maxwell don't play love interests per se, but the video has both of them looking sexy.
4. John Legend "Made To Love"
John served all kinds of romantic realness on his "Love In The Future" album and we can't help but enjoy his raw, romantic energy. This video is no different, and the variety of complexions shown in front of the white background is striking.
5. Janelle Monae & Erykah Badu "Q.U.E.E.N."
Janelle burst out of her skin with this video. From the makeup to the striped dresses to the funky choreography, we all had the ultimate "yessssss!" moment.
6. Bruno Mars "Treasure"
Bruno's latest video definitely gave us a 1970s vibe that we're kind of loving. We love a good creative music video moment, and the Super Bowl performer definitely used all of his creative juices for this one.
