For most couples, there comes a time when they start thinking about having kids. They think about how stable they are in their careers, how much money they have saved up and if they are ready to cross over into the new world of parenting. This is definitely a normal reaction as parenting is not something to take lightly.
However, I think we forget about the most important and joyful part of becoming a parent–having an opportunity to bring a new life into this world. This is an opportunity that we are all not blessed with in our lifetimes and I think some take it for granted. So when is the right time to have kids?
I don’t ever think there will ever be a right time. No matter how prepared you think you are, how much money you have in the bank or how many books you’ve read–all of that is so minuscule to what you’re about to embark on. If you and your mate have a strong, committed and loving relationship and you support and trust one another, I think this is a strong indication that you are ready to bring a new life into this world. So go for it! What are you waiting for?!
