Yes for me it happened in real life. He & I were about the same ages as Chris & Rhi Rhi. During the course of our 2yr relationship I was dragged down stairs, choked unconscious, had a gun placed at my temple, etc. all unprovoked. When I found I was pregnant I left. There was a pattern of abuse that he witnessed with his father. Anyhoo he & I have a beautiful son we raise seperately & I have forgiven him as well as myself, which was harder & took longer to do. I don’t dog my ex out to his son, me mentioning this could possibly hurt their father-son relationship. No matter what happens in the future there is no need now nor ever to bring up what happened in our (his father & I’s) past relationship. My ex knows that things will change if I hear of him doing this to another woman esp. around my son. But all ‘n all I have forgiven him.
