You never fight unless it is absolutely necessary, I can only see someone fighting for survival, a man or woman is not needed for survival, too many are out here by themselves and are doing great.

It should not of come to blows BUT… you do not come to any type of party and tell the host about how you slept with their ex. That is not lady like. Why tell her? Why even bring up your own sex life? Sometimes its much more lady like to say nothing. Just because you throw a partying celebrating the end of something doesn’t mean your over it. Emily may very well be closing one chapter to start another but doesn’t mean she still doesn’t have some feeling for the kid, no matter how much of a looser he is.
