We do not know what know what exactly happen in their marriage. Being married in the professional spot light to anyone is hard work. We all as a society who are thirsty for entertainment value want to know the real hard facts, in when in turn we do not know NOTHING!

I actually saw the man at a TGI Friday’s in a suburb of Detroit in around August/September, 2009. I didn’t even know who he was because I am not a basketball fan. Quit the stupid judgements. They were highschool sweethearts way BEFORE he became famous……AND they already had 2 of the 5 children BEFORE they were married…….so no, Tawanna is not a golddigger or a jumpoff he picked up along the way.

Not counting the time they were together before the marriage and now almost 9 years of marriage that has passed, I would say that they have been together a significant amout of time together, so they have gone through their ups and downs and obviously, she has had enough, reached her limit, etc……..and for those of you who say she’s not attractive…….obviously to Mr. Iverson, she is……..so much so, that they had 5 kids TOGETHER (IT TAKES 2 TO MAKE A BABY).

After seeing the exchange between A.I. and the young lady at TGI Friday’s and later finding out that he was married, I was very much put off by him–AND by the young lady he was talking to. As I mentioned in a previous post, I didn’t know who he was…I’m totally clueless about sports…I just thought that he was cute (great set of lips) and he seemed pretty amiable (because he smiled at me and my sister after she was gawking at him!). I thought, “cool guy”.

I would have to agree with upnorthdude. I used to live in Philly during Iverson’s “glory days” and it was nooooo secret that he was cheating on his wife. His favorite waitress at TGIFridays, or most of the strippers at his favorite Gentleman’s club. I have never followed his career and do not know much about basketball, but if his wife was with him in high school before he was even recruited, which I hope she was, then it shows that she was sincerely interested in him, not his potential to be an NBA star. Therefore, what I am about to comment on is not directed to her, but to the women who seek the lifestyle of the rich-and-famous: it’s not worth it. While it’s great to be married to a successful man, these are “alpha” men who are arrogant, insensitive and unloyal…they cannot nor will not settle down because they have so much access to things that regular people don’t.
