The New York Post has deemed Melanie Fiona the “It” girl! The two-time Grammy award winner is managed by Roc Nation and under Jay-Z’s care Melanie’s sophomore album The MF Life (in stores today) is receiving critical acclaim!
“The main lesson I’ve learned is that life is full of ups and downs,” she tells The Post.
What’s it like working with Jay-Z?
I think he’s an excellent example of success. That’s inspiring to me as an artist. He’s built an empire off of what he loves to do, which is music. He’s just a complete testament to success.
What does your album title, “The MF Life,” mean?
Obviously my initials are MF. “The MF Life” is a beautiful collection of moments and lessons learned in between the high and low moments of life. And that stands for whatever people want that to mean — all puns intended!
