She wants the reason for the divorce to be changed is because a judge would look at The Dream in a less favorable light if the reason for divorce was adultery or abandonment and opposed to irreconcilable differences. She also stands a better chance at having that prenup thrown out.

I don’t think that any of the comments are significant. First of all, Marriage is a vow before God to love til death do we part. I wouldn’t want to be w/ a man if I had to sign a pre-nup. Don’t give me that option. When we marry we unite as one. If you feel that if things between us aren’t going to work and you are worried about your finances, we shouldn’t get married. I feel that a wife should support her husband when he’s down and out and he should do the same for her. Marriage is no longer sacred. The Dream needs to step up and be a man. What self-respecting person thinks it’s ok to a)cheat on a pregnant wife b)have it photographed so that she has to see it and have the entire world know her man is a dog c)ask her to sign over any right to assets they’ve been sharing as a married couple? That is beyond low. What sucks is that she had to learn what a low-life he is after getting pregnant by him. But then again, there’s always handwriting on the wall. If another beautiful and talented woman meets him and is tempted by his “charm” I hope she remembers this and is smart enough to RUN, not walk, the other way.

The Dream has no excuse for his infidelity, but if Christina signed an agreement to keep her and his assets separate, then being 9 months pregnant is no excuse to get it thrown out. I’ve known women who were in their last month of pregnancy and were still working and functioning just fine. As for comments about prenups and not wanting to sign one because marriage is forever: stop being naive. I used to think that prenups were a bad thing, but as I got older and went through things, I realize there is a big difference between God’s perfect idea of marriage and Man’s flawed ideas. Man’s ideas lead to conflict and envy and greed, pitting husband against wife as one schemes for the assets of the other when things go wrong – and the man usually ends up jacked up. So its not God’s marriage concept people need protection from, its Man’s marriage concept. Just like we buy life insurance in case we die, and health insurance in case we get sick, a fair and balanced prenup (or lets call it a marriage contract) protects against one spouse going sideways and changing drastically. People can change over the years, and love and romance is far more complicated and flimsy today than it used to be, so if two people want to get married, there’s nothing wrong with them coming to a mutual agreement about their views on marriage and putting that in writing. It’s also a good idea to sit through a divorce hearing in court and discuss the issues that come up to see if you two are on the same page regarding marriage. You will be surprised!

Bottomline don’t sign anything that you haven’t taken the time to read period! You get what you get, and if they hold her to that prenup she’s getting support for that baby, perhaps small settlement for herself and thats it. Time to get back to work sweety!
