The “Queen of Soul”Aretha Franklin has become the latest celebrity to announce an engagement over the holidays, joining LeBron James and Savannah Brinson, Michael Jordan and Yvette Prieto and John Legend and Chrissy Teigen.
Aretha and longtime friend William “Willie” Wilkerson got engaged over the holidays. The singer told The Associated Press that they are considering a summer wedding, maybe in Miami Beach, Florida. She says she wants the reception to he held on a private yacht.
The 69-year-old joked:
“No, I’m not pregnant.”
ReRe is already thinking about her dress, she is considering designers Vera Wang, Valentino and Donna Karan.
Aretha has been married twice before, to Ted White and actor Glynn Turman.
