After wowing the masses with the trippy fantasy ride that is her “Acapella” video, Kelis took to the Jimmy Kimmel Live stage last night decked out in full tribal drag and belted out her current single. She basically transformed Jimmy’s joint into a dance club at peak hour. Watch below, and keep an eye out for will.i.am filling in on DJ duty in the background!

    Who convinced her to do this jungle boogie bullshyht? They need to be fired. Kelis need to be told that this is 2010. What she was doing 7 years ago, is non-relevant. She needs to evolve further…
    and then cypher it into her music. Her life is turmoil, and her music reflects just that. It saddens me. I use to like Kelis. Maybe if she were to get back with Nas, and feature him on her alb… (nah)
    …on second thought, she needs to take a break from the industry for another year and travel, maybe clear her head, and come again. In the Meantime, we’re waiting… and we’re watching!

    Pretty girl. I hope she does well, Most artist pull from the turmoil surrounding them to invent and reinvent both their music and theirselves. I LOVE that she is different, has a unique style and a unique voice. Best Wishes, We all have had some sort of “turmoil” going on in our lives at one time or another, I applaud her even more with having a celebrity status and focusing on what she was first and that is an artist.
