Get real. Brandy can singg. Give the woman credit for singing without all the effect and sounding so good. Not even Beyonce can sing like Brandy. Its because Brandy dress kinda old fashion why her stage presence is not happening. Beyonce use more sex onstage than vocals, so her shows is more intresting/attended. Brandy can singggggggggggggggg by those who preffer the sexy look instead of talent.

AGREED! Brandy is much better than Beyonce…If Beyonce put some clothes on and tried to sing ONE song standing in an upright position (instead of on her back, poppin her azz or on all fours)…I doubt she would have such a following…Anytime Rihanna is alive and well entertainment wise and Brandy is struggling with it….You know that has nothing to do with talent! But every Black female artist that comes on the scene will forever be compared to Beyonce(as long as she’s still around). I personal like Beyonce as a “entertainer” however I like Brandy as a songstress I love her voice and I love Beyonce’s energy!

I wish you guys were on my facebook connect, I will show you a beautiful beautiful video about the history of african american women in America..but here is a lil taste.. 1) BLACK WOMEN HAD TO RAISE THEIR KIDS, WHILES THEIR HUSBANDS WERE SNATCHED AWAY AND KILLED OR BURNED 2) BLACK WOMEN COULD DO NOTHING AS THEIR KIDS WERE TAKEN FROM THEM AND SOLD TO OTHER PEOPLE. 3) BLACK WOMEN WHO IN SOME CASES OWN KIDS WERE TAKEN AWAY FROM THEM WERE MADE TO BREASTFEED THE WHITE KIDS OF THEIR SLAVE MASTERS..

I have always loved Brandy’s voice. I thought her rendition was wonderful. On the whole Beyonce/ Rihanna thing. I love Beyonce’s voice but I don’t like Rihannas. I am a black woman and the reason I like Beyonce/Brandy’s voice and don’t like Rihanna’s has NOTHING to do with the color of their skin and everything to do with a personal preference. I would just like to quote Common for a sec, he said a verse in one of his songs on Like Water For Chocolate and it was “if i don’t like it, i don’t like it. that don’t mean that i’m hatin…” I do feel that people of color in general catch a lot of heat anytime we don’t like other singers, actors, entertainers of color and it just really isn’t right because I don’t like or like people because of their color, i like them for their talents….

I’ve always like Brandy since sittin up in my room, ha ha ha . Brandy may have a scratchy voice sometimes, but that’s what makes her voice both beautiful and different. And the article is about her. It doesn’t make sense to call Brandy any names; she hasn’t done anythong to you. People make mistakes everyday and celebrities are no different. As far as comparing her to Beyonce, why is that even going on? They both have talent whether anyone wants to admit it or not. If they didn’t have talent they wouldn’t have sold any albums. Disliking a singer for anything other than their singing voice is plain childish and hateful. What is the real reason you (this is for everybody) don’t like the singer? Half the people who claim they don’t like Brandy or Beyonce or whoever don’t like them for stupid reasons. You listen to what people say on tv or write in a magazine and you start disliking someone like you actually were there growing up next to the person. Please. Plenty of singers use their looks to get by and somebody likes it, so who really cares? Today is a different generation of singers than yesterday…”back in the day” is when singing was mostly about your voice and then the looks came later. I don’t like every single singer/rapper out there, but I can see why other people might like them. As for race, a voice is a voice no matter what color the person is that is singing.
