Terry McMillian To Give Us The Sequel To “Waiting To Exhale”

Author Terry McMillan is planning on releasing a sequel to her 1992 novel “Waiting To Exhale.” “Getting to Happy” is the long-awaited sequel to McMillan’s 1992 hit book comes a whole 15 years later and will feature all of the original characters made famous by Whitney Houston and Angela Bassett in the 1995 film adaptation of the same name. We hope a movie will follow the book!!

    This book was horrible! Are you guys for real? “Waiting to Exhale”….It gives the STEROTYPE that black women can’t ‘get right’ until a black man comes along and saves the day! The movie was crazy LOW BUDGET and the entire theme was centered around making black women seem all needy with low self esteem and the black men who ‘dogged’ them at some point or the other…While they’re at it, they should do a sequel to “No Scrubbs”…
