One of my all time favorite movies…..sam Jack replacing the dude who played sho-nuff (who recently passed) is a good fit. Also I like the idea as Lega95 mentioned, of Alicia Keys playing the dominatrix…a better fit I think and much more seceductive……..

ARE YOU KIDDING ME, Rihanna playing Vanity’s role? First of all it’s a bad idea to remake that movie in the first place. That was an excellent movie that i love to watch over and over again. But if they are going to do a remake, at least try to find people who will do the roles justice. And Rihanna is no where near a Vanity. Now I’m curious as to who will be playing the other roles. I think Busta Rhymes would be perfect for Sho-nuff. Is Michael Jai White playing Leroy? I have to check this out.

The original guy who played Sho’Nuff passed in ’07 or ’08 I think and I dont think Taimak wants to be involved with it because according to him its hard enough to get by without people still referring to him as “Bruce LeRoy” so I think he wants to get as far away from this as possible unless he has some producer role or something behind the scenes. Vanity is older now but she could probably do a cameo role in the movie. Im wondering to see how the movie finishes….I cant wait til the finished product I just hope its not a cheap remake that ends up ruining the original movie that came out 20+ yrs ago

Laura Charles(Vanity) was not a dominatrix in this movie…she was the host of a dance music tv show. I think the person that wrote this didn’t even watch the original one. I guess they are going to make “RiRi” a dominatrix instead of a show host, so that’s going to make this a crappy remake.

I LOVE RIHANNA! I personally think she is THE sexiest black woman in the performing arts of the commercial entertainment world. She has really bloomed. Even when she was the spunky little innocent teen on her song “S.O.S.” I knew she would go on to be a reigning queen of her genre. Platinum albums, hit videos, Grammy wins and nominations, Top 40 pop radio singles and now movie roles? She’s on her way up and I love it. Move over divas, you might have now but RiRi is the future! She’s different. She has her own style which is versatile. There’s a rough edge about her that tops even those “divas” who might have more accolades than she does. The production for “So Hard” featuring Jeezy, is great and it couldn’t have blown the way it did without her. LOVE YOU!!
