NBA’s Allen Iverson & Wife Split!

Allen Iverson and wifeAllen Iverson is not having a good year so far.  First he takes an indefinite leave from the NBA to care for his sick daughter and now his wife is leaving him!

A week after the Philadelphia 76ers’ Allen Iverson announced he was leaving basketball for the rest of the season to be with his sick 4-year-old daughter, the star’s wife filed for divorce in Fulton County Superior Court.

In the divorce petition filed on Tuesday, Tawanna Iverson said her 8 ½-year-long marriage to the guard was “irretrievably broken.” In the petition, Tawanna Iverson asked for temporary and permanent custody of their five children as well as child support and alimony.

She did not ask for a specific dollar amount. The children range in ages from 17 months to 15 years. –

Guess it’s safe to say Tawanna has had enough!!!

    Guess she figured might as well get out while the getting is good…seeing as how they will base child support and alimony on his current salary. This is sad…heck she reminds me of Damon Dash’s wife…times got bad for him financially and she picked up and left.

    That’s what I’m talking about an you wonder why alot of men aint trying to get married because even if he did something wrong whats the point of getting married when your going to lose shyt then you wonder why men resent women.Because as I write this I feel anger what society need to do is stop promoting marriage because at the end of the day marriage aint making society better at all but just putting more money in people’s pockets that’s about it.

    Its always the brokest ones talking smack about money. I find jump offs messy and trifling. A hoe doenst require an apology, recognition or a second glance. A hoes job is to be the hoe. Period. Now that the many is done with her, she wants to go running to the wife to ‘tell’ .. Trifling.

    she was with him BEFORE the fame, money, etc., so…maybe she’s tired of his b.s. & all the drama she’s had to deal with as far as him cheat’n & whatnot. now THAT’S why I say women should have our own goin’ on & be successful BEFORE we get married. then if we do marry a man that’s successful, should he ever decide he doesn’t wanna act right or no longer wants to be married, we’ll be goodie either way & he won’t be able to say we are what we are because of him. throw him the deuces & tell that ni66a to kick rocks with opened toe shoes on…
