I guess that some us have been wearing weave so long that we have grown more accustomed to it than our own natural hair! I can alternate myself and still look good and feel comfortable!It’s not that serious for me , perhaps because I come from a generation of women ,who didn’t get into the whole hair weave thing until around the 90′s! I actually recall when it was cool to wear your own hair!

well i won’t go into the topic of “common folk” wearing weaves, but i think it’s wise for a celebrity to use extensions to protect her real hair from all the styling. HOWEVER, i do think Ciara’s having a bit too much fun with her weave and may be using this as a bit of an excuse.

Ciara really needs to try natural sometimes. The weaves she has been having in the last past 2 years have been heavy,bulky and not natural looking. She looks like she need to change hairstylist. I see girls hair in the hood that looks way way better than hers. When she fist came out with Goodies, her weave was nice. Now, that she is so Hollywood, it is UGLY. Im sure her natural hair is long, she should let it breath and stop the fuss about protecting your hair. Weaves dont protect your hair, they harm it too.

Yes I feel you Ciara…I myself have a pretty good length and fullness of hair…I have that because I constantly wear hairweaves….Im a Hair Stylist and I always encourage my clients to get sew-ins and wigs that won’t damage their hair. So if your daily hair routine consist of healthy hair extensions more power to you !!!

i agree that some women wear extensions to protect their hair, or because they hate to style their own hair. my niece has shoulder-length hair, but she always wears a weave. her natural hair is thick, and she used to spend hours under the dryer. people seem to forget that white chics rock extensions. so, it’s all up to the individual.
