I think there are two- sides to every story and Rhianna is not as innocent as she looks…. its amazing she could be in hiding to alleviate the public “embarrassment” from her confrontation with Chris, but she was out in the open a few weeks later looking ridiculous, being/looking hyper-sexual and imposing her “umbrella funk music” on people. If she majored in drama, I would have given her an “A” because she definitely knows how to play the victim. Chris Brown, a once over popularized sex icon/figure , gifted and ignorant ( on life and relationships) in the same breath, has finally experienced what it feels like to fall from grace from a social stand point and realize that character can make or break the person. He must go back to the drawing board and grow up to salvage what is left of his image. Just because the public has witnessed the outcome of the argument between Rihanna and Chris Brown by analyzing her photos of the aftermath of the fight does not COMPLETELY make Rihanna the VICTIM. Something had to have triggered or made Chris retaliate his anger towards Rihanna. You would think that the Chris Brown – Rihanna incident spawned domestic violence / abuse. News flash: there has been domestic violence whether it be man on man, woman on woman, man on woman or woman on man for centuries. I’m not making excuses, but if it wasn’t for their celebrity status (both CB and Rihanna) and the contest media coverage it would have been swept under the rug like all of the countless domestic situations involving “John and Jane Does.” Stop looking to celebrities, entertainers and what not to solve all of your problems or be you or your kids’ role models. People support artists for various reasons. In reality we really do not know who most of the people we spend money on are. Some are media creations, some are sc** bags and some are actually good people. Nobody has affected Brown’s career except his own stupidity. It’s good to see Chris Brown back. I have said it many times before, while I’m not exactly his biggest fan, I do like some of his songs. Everything else, especially regarding his personal life, I could care less. I also like some of Rihanna’s songs, but I’m not exactly a fan of hers either and although she doesn’t seem to be a model citizen either I could care less about her personal life too. As for R. Agreed. Although I admire certain celebrities (athletes, singers, rappers, actors and actresses) I have never truly considered them role models for me or my children. Parents or other productive adults within our circle are the true role models. Also I agree that a man should never hit a woman…… although there are certain rare exceptions where it is acceptable, i.e. if he is defending himself from an all out assault from a female that is trying to “fight him like a man.” However, hitting a woman one time is a forgivable offense in my book. Basically, I’m not here to make enemies or spew hate about anyone or to anyone. I’m just here to have friendly, peaceful and spirited debate.

Its pretty obvious Chris did wrong since he plead guilty and took 5 years probation. You dont get that if you just slip up once and punch a female to get her off you and you have an otherwise clean record. if you have seen the leaked picture of Rihanna you can tell this was not a case of just a hit. Also what people forget is that the state pursued the case not Rihanna. Some people act like are mad at her because Chris Brown got in trouble. Also back to him doing to time, he is actually still in that process being on probation so his time will not be up for awhile. I do still find it funny that people think he is being persecuted for some reason. if you feel that way here is a test for you go out with your girlfriend or boyfriend, beat thier azz similar to the way Chris beat Rihanna’s and see if it has any affect on your life or finances. See how many tributes you are asked to do to honor somebody in the recent months to your arrest and conviction. See if everybody treats you just the same. This entire situation with all the apologies and publicizing his anger management progress is all a PR move. Radio, t.v., as well as celebritys, have public relations teams or person cleaning up behind a negative event. What happebened between him and Rhianna is “life.” Not saying that it’s excusable but at the same time doing regrettable and harmful things is a part of growing up, learning and living. I’m so sick of media outlets announcing and replaying events from the life of celebrities like it’s news. What happned with the pair of them is between them. This role model concept that society slaps on the rich and famous carries unbelievable and unrealistic expectations. Regardless of their craft, fan base and other attributes that propels them into the spotlight, they are still human, and all of mankind is flawed. There’s not a perfect specimen roaming this earth. Sponsors that pulled him off their product must reside in a parallel universe populated with perfect people. And what I have to say to them is “no one bought your product because Chris Brown had a commercial unless they were below the age of 15. It’s not that serious for those of us who are mature adults and lacking the desire to crucify or berate or find interest in the personal lives of celebrities. All this hoopla should have been laid to rest when Rhianna voluntarily decided to spend time with him after the incedent. Abuse is a very serious matter and should never be taken lightly. And while we’re spending time effort and resources on boyfriend/girlfriend altercations of celebrities, we could be putting that effort and support towards helping women who truly need it and are in danger as you read this.

And my sisters and I taught him the same thing. I been in that same relationship when I was a teenager. Then, I realized enough is enough.
