It seems that Trayvon’s delinquent past is being brought into question as his murder is investigated. The Miami Herald is reporting that the 17-year-old victim was suspended after being found with jewelry and a screwdriver that a security guard described as a ‘‘burglary tool.” At the time the jewelry and screwdriver were found on him, Martin had gotten caught writing graffiti and was searched.

Ryan Julison, a Martin family spokesman, said yesterday that Trayvon was in Sanford–where he was shot and killed by self-proclaimed neighborhood watchman George Zimmerman–because he was suspended from school last month for having a baggie that contained marijuana residue in his book bag.

Ok, so Trayvon’s had some bad boy behavior through his teenage years. What teenage boy doesn’t? This has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that this little boy was shot to death. Is the media really trying to mar Trayvon’s reputation to implicate him as some type of hoodlum? We’re never going to believe the picture they’re trying to paint of Trayvon as the villain and Zimmerman as the victim. Never.

What do you think of Trayvon’s past being considered in his murder trial? Let’s discuss on Twitter @Rhapsodani.
