VIDEO: Fantasia To Get GED

Fantasia Barrino, 24, revealed in her memoir, “Life Is Not a Fairy Tale,” that she was illiterate and could not read words she wasn’t familiar with. She said at the time that she was learning to read to her daughter Zion, now seven. Barrino dropped out of school in the 9th grade.

The American Idol star, 24 who is now ready to hit the books and earn her high school degree told Eonline:

“I’ve been talking about it for so long,” Fantasia said “I have a lot of young people who look up to me, like my 15-year-old brother and 7-year-old daughter. It’s something that I really need to do and that I want to do.”

    Sounds like some 1 needs 2 be in class with her. When u r famous time is limited. Its a blessing to still persue her GED, But baby grl” once u get that GED U should be smart enough 2 get a man that u can call ur own”. :)

    Oh no boo, i have a diploma,i was just saying if it had of been me,rather than waisting all that time doing nothing with herself she should have already had her GED.Maybe if you read on the s**t she’s been doing, canceling shows and spending money on dumb things you would understand.So for you below me “GET IT RIGHT”!

    Oh yes boo! Everything u read and see on reality tv is always there to keep the audience tuned in and out. I’m pretty sure u r not at the mall shopping with her when she spends her money on dumb s**t. All I’m saying is that no matter how long it took its now in the making. (Rock, paper,scissors)

    Good for you you girl, does’nt matter how long you take to get as long as you put forth the effort to do it , I applaud your wanting to do it …your a fighter and no matter what the haters say remeber from whence you came, we fall down but , we shall always get up. promotion comes not from man , but from the Man above, stay focus girl and keep your heart in the place in which he heard your crying out and delivered you love you.
