LisaRaye, Lauren London & Stacey Dash Team Up For New Show

LisaRaye, Stacey Dash and Lauren London are teaming up for a black “Sex & The City” type show.

Lisa Raye appeared on Shade 45 “The Morning After Show with Angela Yee” and she discussed how the network will be taking advantage of “Girlfriends” going off the air for a new series. The series is based off of a Vh1 Movie of the Week produced by Queen Latifah’s Flavor Unit company.

“It’s a black Sex and the City for us… we don’t have anything that tells our story about career and friendship and men and love and heartbreak and whatever, and being sharp and dressed nice and having our own version of bad shoes and bad bags. It’s a great cast with myself Stacey Dash and Lauren London, they covered all the bases.”

    Hmm…it might work. Though I think it would need to be on a premium cable network..sort of like how “Zane’s Sex Chronicles” fills a void, this show could be on the more upscale ‘Sex in the City’ type of vibe. I think the show would eventually need a FOURTH woman brought into the mix…its just a better dynamic script wise. I’m currently unavailable, however…. :)

    It Could Be A Nice Show…However Unlike The Previous Post…I Feel It Should Be On “REGULAR” Cable. SOME OF US Don’t Have Those Extra Channels. That Stuff Is TOO Expensive ~ Not To Mention The RECESSION!!! (Even Though They Say The Economy Is Bouncing Back) Anyway They Could Put It On The CW, BET Or VH1….Just Keep It Simple!

    Naw. Don’t put it on the CW. If they put it on CW it will get canceled with the quickness. Look what happened to every last black show that was on that channel. All of them canceled. None of them ever made it to a Series Finale. But other wise, i would love to watch it.

    Never watched Sex and the City but anything with Lisa Raye and Stacey Dash I will watch.

    @ChinkeyBrowneyes. You are very beautiful black woman your self. But how do you figure there barely black…If you picture was right next to theirs people would think you were one of them. You kinda of resembled Lauren London. Since you are sexy redbone with pretty hair i would think you would be more sympathetic to self racism that other black women inflict upon one another due to the tone of their complexion. I am sure growing up many darker skinned women hated on you an gossipped about you because your good looks. Be a solution to the problem Not apart of it!
