If you own a pair of Uggs, you may be on your way to the emergency room.

According to a doctor in Philadelphia, patients are coming in complaining of leg and foot pain. He attributes the injuries to wearing Uggs, which have little arch or ankle support. And wearing the loosey-goosey shoes on slippery, icy surfaces can put you at added risk for a sprain or slip.

Achilles tendonitis is the primary risk for Ugg wearers, particularly those who have flat feet to begin with. Experts recommend adding ankle or arch supports or other orthotics to give the shoes more structure.

Damn, I finally broke down and got a pair and now I have to put them back in my closet.

I’m not surprised about uggs. I have a pair
of slippers made like uggs and when I wear them they make my leggs and feet
hurt like hell. I’m so glad I didn’t buy ugg
boots. I saved myself a lot of money and
    pain!
