For the last damn time, HOW IS STATING THE OBVIOUS BEING A HATER? Damn, so being honest and straightforward is being a hater now? Seriously, calling someone a hater is about as weak a comeback as there is. The woman in that outfit looks a damn mess in that picture. Period. She is ridiculously obese which does not help her appearance in the picture. Period. She can have a wonderful personality and great outlook, it still doesn’t change those facts. Celebrities of all colors go through it. Hell Jennifer Love Hewitt and Jessica Simpson aren’t even huge and they get clowned on their weight. And don’t even mention Kristie Alley’s big azz. The people around her, if they are really down for her, need to step in and encourage her to wear things that don’t make her look bad at her current size, and encourage her to lose weight for their well being. Celebrities, new & old, lose the entitlement of privacy because that just goes with the territory. They need their fan base, they need to market themselves continuously to stay in the game, which leaves them open for praise and criticism. Gabourey should be proud of her accomplishments, which i’m sure she is, and that pride is going to be expected to be reflected in every way when she’s in the public eye, again that just goes with the territory. People just won’t allow her to look like she did while shopping in NYC without some criticism. Shopping in NYC by itself is a feat to be celebrated; put your best digs on & strut your stuff! You know there’s gonna be cameras around. With this fame, she’ll never be able to shop privately or openly without cameras, which is a good thing! But she will need to present herself in a good light at all times to keep it good and keep the interest in her talent positive. I hope she doesn’t want to portray a victim all the time in future roles, if she does, that’s her choice… Gabourey does not look healthy, she looks swollen. Just last week HB had an article about how terrible fantasia outfit and tattoo’s looked and how bad her body looked wearing it. And everyone dissed her and talked about her. At first I felt bad and was against the whole “leave her alone” klan(referring to gabby) until I reevaluated myself. This girl has no birth defects or disability that has inflicted her. We all have been talked about and made fun of ,so why is she so different again? Let me answer that, people are defending Gabby because they feel that she can’t defend her self and they feel that herself esteem is really low. The truth is that the ones that are trying to protect(I was guilty of it too) her feel the same way that the rest of us do. But you rather be the one to defend her as if she needs it. This girl would never defend anyone of us because she would be afraid to be picked on herself . And trust me she was prepared for the negative feedback she would get once she entered the “famous life”. Gabby do not need bully protectors she needs people that will encourage her to lose weight and become healthy. Gabby also need people to tell her that the clothes that’s she’s parading around in are not flattering to her body. She needs honest people in her life not people accepting her to walk around and being made a laughing stock. BD_Tee lmao I love the statement “can we just exile that word(hater) from our vocab for ONE DAMN ARTICLE”. Seriously I have used the word hater and to be honest the people on Bp use that word for every little thing(entirely too much). That being said I’m going to take BD_Tee advice and stop using that damn word. And Cali “eternally nice”? LOL, you know what…There are people I’m HELLA cool with on this site that I even know personally that send me notes about certain articles on here that they KNOW I’m going to say something absolutely outrageous in response to, (Hey Cali, did you see what ole boy said in the so and so thread? I think over time Gabby will give into the pressure of “hollywood beauty” shell be a size 12 in no time im sure…either way if shes happy, shes happy.. Now everybody can’t be the small 24-36-24 figure. She didn’t get into the spotlight being skinny, they wanted her the way she is. Let her have fun. She is not doing anything wrong to anybody. I hear she’s African, and being African myself, I know how hard it is to keep weight off, when overweight women are commonplace in the family and rice and/or casava, plaintain, fuf, etc. is included in every meal. i’m fighting in that war right now…
