I never hated on complexion. I’m light and have always been self concious about it because other people had issues. I tried to tan to no avail. I didn’t like the fact that she was so much oolder than he was. Relationships between older women and younger men don’t always work because the woman is almost always more mature. Personally, I would have a problem respecting a younger man because of his age in a relationship. Plus, I never thought she was pretty. She has an exotic look but just not pretty.

Nefertiti 313 I agree with your comment! I always felt that they gave her a hard time because she was an older woman(late 30′s),dark skin, kinda thick, with children from a previous relationship! Black women were her harshest critics, because they felt that Usher should have selected someone more to their liking! Now they are divorced and these some mofo’s will be picking apart the new lady in his life. They should have been happy to know that if he gave Tameka a chance, (someone who actually looks like the average black sister) they too might have had a chance! We love to hate our African American features and put down our own. Now I know that she has been said to have other issues, insecurity, etc) and that’s a whole other ball game but in terms of her looks they gave her a hard time from the start, knowing damn well most of them don’t look any better, sh*t might even look worse! I hope that she lost the weight for her, and not to appease other folks!

She looks fabulous! It’s a shame that the African-American community cannot accept beauty within every shade spectrum. There are a palette of colors within our race — ranging from the lightest-of-light to the blackest-of black, and there is beauty and grace within all of those shades.

The African-American community lashed out against this woman, and it was not because she had children from a previous relationship and was older than Usher. It was because they could not stand to see a woman of Tameka’s dark pigmentation scoring a man of such mega-means. Now, that they are divorcing, suddenly positive comments are being made about Tameka. She is beautiful now, and she was beautiful then…

I’ve witnessed similar debasement against Michelle Obama. You are just going to have to face it: African-American men are looking to black women who can compliment who they are — add layers to their lifestyle. It’s not just about marrying “light”; it is about marrying for love and growth. We should celebrate black love. When Usher goes out and marries a Latina, Asian or Caucasian, the community will be crying out — once again — in outrage; and yet, they refused to support and nurture this beautiful African-American couple.

It is really ashame!

Why can’t people just leave that woman alone. You hated her when she married Usher, now that they’ve broken up and she’s trying to live HER life, not yours, there’s still a tremendous amount of hate and acrimony towards this woman. Is she the only person to have married someone for money and status? Why don’t the haters attack the tacky, tired, gold-digging Kardashian sisters who have made an art form of pursing successful black men, their actions are so blatant that it’s offensive? Does anyone really believe that they’re in these relationships for anything other than money or status? PLEASE!!!!

she looks good, but i think its due to the lipo that she was trying to get before in Brazil (almost had a heart attack, so doctors stopped the procedure)…. this is not due to working out and eating right

Her legs and arms aren’t skinny. Her face isn’t sunken in. She looks absolutely healthy,strong,younger,and better!!! You know, when you pose questions the way you all did for her,”Is TF too skinny?” you’re pretty much attempting to initiate an open forum for people to see her weight loss in a negative way and then drive on her. That’s very piss poor and unfortunate. It’s really a reflection of what YOU are about. You all should make a resolution for the New Year to change up your makeup. No she is not too skinny..she is actually VERY Beautiful and I see some features in her now that I did not see before. In her previous pictures, her eyes were deep set and shadowy, here you can see her face more and she looks amazing….

Now, if ANYBODY needed to shape up–it was Tameka! You go girl! She found a brilliant cosmetic surgeon who evidently knew what he was doing…cause God gave her the body of a porpoise and now she has the body of a woman…simply amazing the things a little liposuction can do for you!
