OMG! You’ve gotten THE RING!!!! Ok. Now what? Most brides do a couple of things first. I’ve seen brides who run to the store and buy every wedding magazine on the shelf. Some brides immediately start trying on dresses. Others start zipping from one side of town to another to scope out their potential venue. […]

One of the questions I get all the time is this: If my wedding invitation says 4pm, doesn’t that mean that I actually walk down the aisle at 4pm? The answer is simple: no. If your wedding invitation says 4pm, that’s the time the actual ceremony begins. That doesn’t mean you start the ceremony 10 […]

When you’re planning a wedding, you are probably always updating your budget and altering figures on your wedding budget spreadsheet. You’ve probably factored in all of the basics like your dress, the cost of the photographer and the cost of your wedding venue. But there are a few elements of the wedding budget that often […]

We’re a HUGE fan of wedding films…especially the same day edit. Your wedding film vendor will record you preparing for your big day and they will film the ceremony. Then, they will show the video at the reception. This way, no one has to wait for weeks to see how everything looked. Brilliant! This incredible […]

There are so many things that can take a wedding to the next level. In the case of Marlon and Ayana, their rooftop venue, Ventanas, was the first step. Then they added a dramatic attire change. And, of course, they had a unique, choreographed first dance. But the exit…that’s what REALLY the exit that took this event […]

I’ve worked with so many brides over the years who want to have alcohol at their wedding, but they can’t afford to provide an open bar. They always ask, “Can’t I just have a cash bar?” NO! Okay…let me explain myself. Imagine that you’re going to a dinner party at a friend’s house. When you […]

Monique and Brian’s gorgeous Atlanta wedding took place at Agnes Scott College. This wedding video was submitted to us by the talented Three Ring Media and showcases the beautiful elements of the event. We are absolutely in love with the gold and cream striped wedding cake. The bride’s dress is absolutely stunning and her necklace […]

Every year, I get a couple of brides who want to do something that, as a planner, makes me break out in hives. They want to invite EVERYONE to their wedding ceremony, but they only want to allow SOME of those people to attend the reception. Often, this is an issue of budget. The bride […]

Let’s start by saying that we LOVE these wedding trailer films by Three Ring Media. It’s a great taste of the wedding that you can email to family and friends. This gorgeous wedding took place at the City Club of Buckhead in Atlanta. If you’re looking for a classic, elegant wedding venue, city clubs are […]

Weddings are a big expense….especially if you’re on a small budget. Now, “small budget” is a relative term. For you, a small budget could be $10k. For some brides, a small budget could be $20k. As a wedding planner, I have brides who come to me at various stages during the planning process. Often, I […]

We LOVE, LOVE, LOVE destination weddings. It’s a great way to have a beautiful setting and a great honeymoon wrapped into one element. And most destination resorts don’t require tons of decor efforts. This beautiful Jamaica wedding was submitted by the talented folks from Three Ring Media and took place at the Grand Palladium Resort & […]

This jaw-dropping event took place at the Nixon Library in Yorba Linda, California. We love the colorful use of flowers…especially the gorgeous calla lillies (you don’t just have to use the white ones!) One of our favorite things about this incredible wedding submitted by Ross Oscar Knight Photography, is that so many wedding details were […]
