Andre Leon Talley will add a much-needed element of credibility to ANTM. After several show cycles, the show has lost its luster and pizzazz. When originally launched, it was fresh, shiny, and new, but the show has remained virtually unchanged since its inception — with Tyra reading the same boring dialogue (verbatim) at each panel judging. Tyra knew that she needed to bring in the BIG GUNS this season if ANTM was going to survive. Without Andre, ANTM was heading for the same fate as Tyra’s talk show – over and done!

Andre is one of the most highly regarded and powerful international fashion professional in the world and is an editor for Vogue magazine. His presence is OMNISCIENCE, OMNIPRESENT AND OMNIPOTENT at almost every haute couture show or fashion week throughout America and Europe. Former ANTM judges left telling tales about Tyra’s outlandish unprofessionalism, but even if Andre decides that the show is not exactly his cup of tea, he is much too professional to tell what went on behind closed doors – so he is a safe bet for someone like Tyra.

I haven’t watched ANTM for years, but I will tune in for at least the first couple of episodes to witness first hand what Andre brings to the table. He is quite a colorful character. If nothing else, I am sure that his unique flair will be exciting to watch.
