I too used to work in the business so you are right on target. Been around lots of musicians and studios they really do work hard through rehearsals for hours. Today artists should be lucky when they mess up or cannot sing a lick because that’s where musicians saved them. People think MJB acts like this all the time but I’m wondering if she is burned out or have some private matter bothering her so bad she can barely focus. She did punched her husband in public which was so unlike her. See what I mean? Time for her to take a real vacation from touring and performing on all those talk shows and so on.

I personally don’t think what she did was wrong. I’ve been singing background,leading, and in the choir and if something isn’t right that you know of you have to correct them. She could of been less crass about it but she did what she did. I’ve had seen my mother who was a choir director and pianist in the church stop the choir and start all over in the middle of the song,during services. It was embarrassing but we got it straight afterwards. Also I think from where she came and how she sounds now you can tell she does get vocal lessons and sounds ten times better.

Savvyd, you made it plain on that one love.
Musicians today will not play for you ever ever ever again if you do this kind of hell. Musicians have an attitude that won’t quit and since there ARE sooo many artist out here who will pay dearly for music to make them look better at what they do in their shows, you best recognize! … and don’t trippp.
Mary has been through some things ..yes.. but hell we all have. She does not get a candy striper award for her life because she has a microphone in front of her mouth.
Hopefully this too will be another lesson learned.
(but why why why ..who in the helll gave her a microphone? They need a new hearing aid..unless of course..(ON THE FLIP SIDE)..they were thinking that the MUSIC and EQUIPMENT would be able to cover up all of the bad notes coming out of her mouth.)
Ok ok., I’m thu. Mary Mary Mary, she would be a great housewife and mother..I wish that she would go do that.

I am not a big fan o MJB either, but as from formerly being in the musc game, it was unprofessiona for her to have dissd her band. That stuff gets around, and for sme musicians, the money ain’t worth the humiliation, and most of the bidwigs ain’t gonna hav no diva attitudesin their orgaizations. Think I am kidding, get a diva attitude on Diddy and see how far you go.

Musicians make mistakes too though. Tact does still work today and is still quite effective.
On top of the fact seriously, Mary needs some more vocal coaching.
It’s just NOT there.
Her musicians on stage and in the studio in my honest opinion are making her sound better than she actually does.
God bless her though. The fans are keeping her where she is. (although, I really don’t know why).

Although I am not a fan of MJB…In my opinion she can not sing, but as a professional musician I can tell you that she had every right to do what she did. If the musicians can not get their act together to back up the lead singer correctly, it is up to the Musical Director or the singer to correct her musicians whether it is live on stage or not. If these musicians where soooo professional they would not have to be chastised in the first place. They would have got it right the first time out.

Speaking of the Grammys, MJB sounded like straight-up doo-doo next to that classical singer, Andrea Bocelli. She can’t sing anyway, but her lack of vocal skills was AMPLIFIED next to a REAL singer. The man was hitting his notes effortlessly while MJB was struggling to sing with him and even keep up with him.

She actually sucked the lifeforce out of that beautiful song. I love the first part of the song, before that overrated, crackhead queen of drama came in and fucced-up the rest of it (LOL). She was trying to be Aretha, but her attempt was an EPIC FAIL!

Watch it again and you’ll see what I mean.

I AM SORRY but I am still trying to figure out why this singer ever became a singer. I just saw her in I can do bad all by myself and she is a pretty good actress and that is where I honestly believe is her calling.
As far as temper tandrums on stage..that is the characteristic of every musician in the world. We are all fickle as hell. One day we can be hot and the next day we can be as cold as ice.
This type of attitude has absolutely nothing to do with the church mentality. This is all music.
