I pose this to all of YOU believers..What was it that Adam ate that he wasn’t supposed to eat? It wasn’t just an apple. It was the fruit of the Tree of KNOWLEDGE. The GLARING message? ‘Get smart and I’ll fuck you over’ sayeth the ‘Lord’. God is the smartest, and he doesn’t want any Competition. Is this not an absolutely anti-intellectual religion? What kind of person would I be to worship some imaginary entity that doesnt want me to be an intelligent person?

One thing that caught my attention few asked: Who made God? In that case who made the apes and monkeys? Debates can keep going on and on and at the end of the day….the apes, monkeys did not created themselves. Who created the universe with all the beautiful planets, moons and stars? Who created the planets to circle around the sun including Earth without them crashing into the sun….therefore being destroy and we would not exist?
Another example to explain this:every jobs that involved making something like cars, watches, computers, and airplanes to name a few needed people that understand not how to make them but get them to function right. The only thing I can possible say is how did God came into exist is possible something more higher and powerful none of us can even imagine in a world that think it is rational when it is not. We do not know everything because something are left not to be found or possible would be too much for humankind to accept. It is a test of the time doubting what is true and what is not and what we can accept to believe and not to believe. And last who we really are is exposed by how we treated other people.

Like you, I DO accept that there are some things in the world that we will NEVER understand. The difference between you and I, is that I don’t NEED an explanation to justify the unexplained.

I understand that some people are SO vain, that they feel they have to know EVERYTHING about everything. And since they cant fathom anything that makes sense logically, the notion of a higher power or creator is the only thing they’ll accept. Something they can continue to “evolve” into whatever. Since “God” is the creator of “everything”, nothing can be without god to you all. So anything that CANT be explained for them, is easily represented by “God’s work.”

I’m just not foolish enough to accept that. I’m 100% comfortable knowing that I’m alone in this world and that my life’s direction is guided by my ability to make sound decisions. Not that I’m a “pawn” in some insivible man’s game.

You think I’m the guy who knows who goes to hell or heaven, and why they go? I’m not that guy. And because I can’t give you a full detailed account of the afterlife and God’s plan you assume it must not exist. There are things above our understanding at work in this world. Because we don’t fully comprehend somethings doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. You want a notorized signature from God. Look in the mirror, we are made in his image. You think you look more like an ape, ok … I see the resemblence with nonbeliever83 maybe.

Twelvetwelve, you say God exists. I say prove it. We don’t HAVE to prove he DOESN’T exist because we don’t feel there’s anything to prove the “non-existence” of.

I’m sorry, but God falls into the same category as the Easter Bunny, Santa, and the Tooth Fairy. Only difference is, nobody tells you god isn’t real when you get older.

So I have a question…would you STILL have believed in a god if noone would have ever told you to? I mean, if he truly existed, shouldn’t EVERYONE have some sort of belief in him? I mean, there’s parts of the world where tribal individuals have never heard of god. Are they “automatic sinners” for not believing because they were never TAUGHT to do so?
