it’s great to see so many sister going natural! i stopped relaxing my hair 4 yrs ago & have never looked back. in the beginning it was very frustrating due to the lack of info on good products to use but with natural hair sisters on fotki, youtube, longhairforum, etc. i got a wealth of info on different techniques and tips to make the transitioning easier. After wasting money on everything from redken, adeva, pantene (what a joke!), motions, keracare, you name, i bought it, i finally found small african american hair companies that have some of the best hair products for natural hair. check out kinky-curly, oyinhandmade, komazacare, and others. there are hundreds of sisters on youtube posting their experience going natural, just type in “natural hair” on youtube.
with the money i have saved from relaxers and weave appointments, i now can spend that on my family.

What an important perspective … I think that ‘when’ articles like ‘this’ , are written , bit by bit …. ‘we’ will begin to wake – UP …. and bE -giN the process OF , ‘acceptance – of BLACK – SELF’ …
