I just have to say that this girl is very BOLD to come in front of everyone and tell her story. I was in abusive realationship for 8 long long years and the only people that knew was my family. Yes, everyone thought I was stupid for staying but what could I say love is blind. NOBODY, NOBODY deserves to be beating by a man it’s not right! I had enough one day Thank God I never looked back but I have forgave him from all the things he has done to me. We still speak because we have a child together and he tells me all the time that he is sorry for what he has done and if he could change the past he would but I’ve heard that for 8 years! So the bottom line is once they hit you they will continue too if you let them! Don’t be envy like I was walk away!

Women who grew up watching their fathers hit their mothers do get into abusive relationships and YES sometimes they toss blows too. No matter what, a man is much stronger and rather hit her he can restrain her. Its interesting how some men on here are sort of on CB’s side in the hitting part.

Listening to her explain what happen, it takes me back to my 1st love. When he got caught ‘cheating’ basically I answered his phone and it was another chick, yeah he went crazy cause he knew it was over then, he had no where to go but down. For whatever reason some men love they girl, cheat or play the field but don’t want their girl to go anywhere. I don’t understand that its just selfish to me. But men need to be men. If you not ready to be in a 1 on 1 relationship say that. You want to just be friends say that, don’t lie and for sure don’t put your hands on no woman. BE A MAN!

I’m sure their are many women here who can understand what she went through and can understand what its like to be with a man who shows you so much love but can be so volatile. It hurts, its dangerous and unhealthy. I wish BOTH of them the best!

I grew up watching my parents fight. Only it was not my father doing the hitting. I listen as my grandparents would tell him not to hit her back. She is a woman and the mother of your child. I remember calling the cops and them taking him away even though he was the one with his head bust open. My uncles use to call him a p$$y and tell him to beat her. But this man would not hit her back. One night he packed some clothes and took me to his folks house. I’ll never forget them telling him not to take me away from my mother. Go home and wrk things out. Two nights later she killed him in my grandparents house. Ppl said they knew she hit him but never thought she would stab him. Yes women do and will hit first

She made the statement about being a role model for the young women of today. That’s bull. How can you be a role model when you hit first. Yes it’s wrong for a man to hit a woman but when that woman thinks she can man handle a man, then you get what you ask for. I don’t think Chris meant to do all that he did but I do believe he was provoked and she can definitely do that. This story never added up for me. She looks like shes making it all up as she goes. Was there a witness to this police report? Was this report an account according to the way she saw it? I don’t condone domestic violence at all. But I feel that sometimes women try to use it as a scapegoat. I absolutely agree that a man should never hit a woman he is physically stronger he can pin her down to avoid harm etc. But alot of women get away with telling lies.

I’m still bugging off the 20/20 interview from Friday night. Some things she said was weird..how she stopped thinking of how what she was going thru after the incident to consider his feelings and that being the reason she got back with him. Or when looking at the 1st apology he had made public, she told Diane she thought he was reading off a teleprompter..um, many ppl thought that yet I recall her having no comment after he did it except that she appreciated him making it public. But what really drove it home was when she replied..I am strong, I’m GLAD this happened to me…have you seen your face?!

And now there’s news that she was also abusive so I think it’s wrong that he was considered the assaultant yet she did the same (if true..prolly is) and numbs the word. Don’t expect someone to admit wrong if you do the same thing. Abuse is abuse, man or woman. Put your fucking hands on me..well, I feel sry for you! It’s not ok for a man to hit a woman, definitely not, but neither is a woman hitting a man. Talk it out, walk away, but if you lay a hand on someone, you just gave the go to have whatever you got coming to you happen.
