It is okay if they think the world of their mother or father. The problem is when that parent thinks they can and will control your marriage. And it is okay for the mother to favor an ex-girlfriend. Let them have their ‘special relationship’. The problem is when your husband ALSO thinks he owes that ex something. Remember, you are marrying HIS AZZ, not his people. And not that you want him to, but if a man really loves you he will turn his back on ALL OF THEM, if they can’t get thier act together.
