Quite frankly, I didn’t see what the fuss was about. Although I am not a Lil Mama fan, what was her purpose or the major damage done? She was on stage less than a minute and really made herself look badly because neither of them acknowledged her. And at this stage of her career it was just a bad move, especially when she couldn’t contribute. As for the Swizz Beatz situation, I don’t understand why people don’t leave married men alone. If their marriage is in the process of ending, then let it end.

I love the way she handled the interview. She could’ve gotten rude but the is not the way she handles things. About her and Swizz, noone knows how it happened, just like noone went on in Swizz and Mashonda marriage. We wouldn’t know if they were having problems way before he started seeing Alicia. We only see what is in the Media, other things are let private. The reason the Media is talking about Swizz and Alicia like this is because, Alicia likes to keep a low profile and doesn’t go to all the places that the paparazzi are hanging at. So, now they dug up something and running with it. All I have to say this: Ms. Keys you are wonderful at what you do and your are a great Humanitarian. Continue doing your thing and if he makes you happy then do you. Forget what everyone else says.

I agree with what Alicia said, while she didn’t say anything mean about the thing with Lil Mama jumping on stage like a clown and getting in the way of a terrific performance, she did keep it real for saying that she should of just stayed in her seat and caught her “moment”. The Today’s Show interviewers were sneaky – Alicia told them that she had no comments. They came right back to the VMA subject after they got her to loosen up a bit. I’m glad that she was ready for them and didn’t quite lower her guard all the way; she gave a professional answer.
I’ll tell ya – once you start talking to the media they can do you in or twist your words.

I can’t believe some of the comments about this story. We have people calling these women bitches and even sluts. What have they done to even deserve to be called those type of names? First of all I don’t even know either one of those women so I couldn’t even begin to try to assassinate their characters in the way that many are doing. I think Alicia Keys answered the question well during the interview and Lil Mama did not belong on the stage during the performance. Lil Mama apologized so let us all move on to something worth while to talk about. Too be honest that was one of the highlights of the whole VMAs. Does it make it right no it doesn’t. Now as far as Alicia and Swizz Beatz what does that have to do with this article? Nothing last time I checked and again that is her business and I don’t know how many people wind up in similar situations that she and Swizz Beatz have winded up in so why are people even tripping off of their relationship? Maybe because she is in the spotlight and they have nothing else to talk about in their own boring lives, but calling these women bitches and sluts is definitely not called for and lacking class.
