Tru enough her performance was good but I would have rather her performed one of her songs. The BET awards sucked much ass because they made it too sad. i understaand that they wanted to dedicate it to MJ but they should have done one big tribute with all the performers and let jamie foxx continue to do what he was doing. they really could have kept that boring shit.

LET ME JUST SAY ONCE AGAIN, BEYONCE’S performance does not belong in this category. She performed different versions of AveMaria: Ave Maria-I am Sasha Fierce; (the chorus) of “Angel” Sarah McGlaughlin; and Ave Maria-LucianoPavorati in the appropriate costumes= Mary, Mother of Jesus (Ave Maria=Hail Mary); the Angel costume; and the wedding dress since AveMaria is song and played at weddings, operas, churches, funerals, so on and so forth. Changing the costumes with low lights and spotlights was well done in loving memory of Michael Jackson.

I agree with Filmtress, this was an embarrassment. We need to take back control of our own entertainment, our celebrities, because we now understand their impact on our community. BET failed. BET should re-do the show, after all the other networks complete their shows. Michael Jackson was ours first, we should honor him better than that.

Well for one FILMTRESS Amreica has not lost HIS way our country was founded on getting away from a Queens rule which means we will never have a Woman president sad to say but we Americans dont wanna look like we bow to pussies. SECOND i dont think they should have changed the show becus Mike died they shoulda gave him about a 30 min segment and moved on bringing in all those old groups made the show worse i.e New Edition,BBD,and GUY. Everything was overshadowed by Michael’s death The O’jays won the lifetime achievement award and barely got their due. B.E.T. could have done a separate show to honor the life and death of Michael Jackson if they really cared. They were using the media to make the “Black People’s Grammy’s” more classy. I personally wanted to see the new artists from this year perform, I mean we vote for video’s on 106 and Park and none of the top 10 make the awards show. I agree it was wack, but not becus of Lil Wayne and Drake they did what they are supposed to do. The show was wack because Debra Lee changed the format of the show thus fucking up the climate. If it would have went on the way it was supposed to Lil Wayne and Drake wouldn’t be an issue so STFU and take it how it came.

OH MY GODDESS! What have we come to!? Beyonce looks like a world class WHORE! I don’t know what’s worse: Her up there looking like the ‘featured girl’ at somebody’s “Bunny Ranch” or her creating an illusion that implies that she’s an Angel appearing to bless Michaels passing further I’m saddened that she desecrated a ‘holy song’ to do it.

Ciara was nervous and I know when you’re nervous the voice shakes and the performer chooses to cut the words short.

Great moves by New Edition however, the vocals could have been previously recorded so that they wouldn’t be challenge to perform during such an exhausting number. And of course to allow them to sound better. Loved watching them though.

Lil Wayne & Co.: HAVE WE LOST OUR DAMN MINDS? YES, WE’VE LOST OUR DAMN MINDS! What happened to the nuturing music in the times of Michael Jackson (Remember the Time, Man In the Mirror) that made us proud…that nourished us? What happened to the mature genius of wit and performance? We are a talented people but by this number I can’t tell. If I was a visitor from another planet and saw this, I would immediately believe that America has not only lost her way but has plummeted in to the ‘pits of HELL’. This junk is ‘pompous and toxic. It destroyed & continues to destroy our families and communities. Rant: “LITTLE GIRLS ON THE STAGE DANCING AS SOMEONE SINGS OF ‘DOING IT TO EVERY GIRL?! Is this what happens when get a little power? Chris Brown was going to perform. I think they were going to do Thriller. Jay-Z shut that down. Reportedly, Jay told BET if Chris was allowed to perform, that neither he nor Beyonce would perform.

According to Jawn, Bey was slated to open the show but was a “diva” and wanted to sing “I’ll Be There,” but BET wanted something more upbeat. This is why she went in the middle of the show. Hence, NE opened the show. The sound was bad but I like their performance. Okay, I heading to the gym.
