After a very public Twitter battle with racist and sexist trolls earlier this week, comedienne and Ghostbusters’ star Leslie Jones has decided to come back to the social media site.
On Monday, the actress thought she would be spending the day celebrating the success of her new film, but instead she was in “tears” exposing the racial and gender bullying she had to endure.
Leslie was called all kinds of atrocities, including the “n-word,” an “ape” and was told people like her cause “AIDS.”
Twitter responded to her abuse by permanently banning Breitbart editor Milo Yiannopoulos, Mashable noted. And while the actress said she was done with the social media platform for good, she decided not to let her bullies win, so on Thursday she made her return.
Twitter itself and others welcomed the 6-foot beauty back with open arms.
Glad to have you back, girl!
