Maxwell maximizes his style for the online boutique Farfetch. The singer is the perfect choice for a dapper editorial: known for being an über cool, sensual, and sophisticated being.

He posed in a classy blue Lanvin suit, with a royal blue Lanvin tie which complimented his crisp Lanvin business shirt and ascot. The look was completed with Salvatore Ferragamo shoes and styled by Nicolas Klam.

Anya Ziourova styled the womens wear shoot, and the photography is by Max Vadukul.

Maxwell speaks with Farfetch regarding his latest album, blackSUMMERS’night, and reassured, “I haven’t lost touch with who I was 20 years ago, I’m still solid with who I am as a being.”

The “Lake By The Ocean” singer is almost synonymous with menswear style and as he’s aged he has become even more palatable to the ladies. He defines his look as “very low-key, I like a pair of jeans, some Stan Smiths, white t-shirt, black pants. It’s not like I’m walking around like I’m on stage during the day!”

While the 43-year-old has a laid-back style, he does enjoy classic labels, naming Saint Laurent, Maison Margiela, and Ami as a few of his faves. However, Paul Smith is his go-to label: “I like the sense of humor in English fashion, where it looks good but it’s not so stiff,” he said.

Maxwell isn’t all about fashion and labels, though. He actually enjoys living simply, “I love the simple things like riding my bike, or going to the beach or reading a good book. And I love my [hair]brush! It’s a Mason Pearson, which is a really good brush and it gives a good massage.”
