With the French Open right around the corner, Serena Williams stresses that she is “ready for anyone” when it comes to defending her Grand Slam title this year, say CNN.

Losing in the Australian Open title earlier this year, the 34-year-old has shaken that off and is looking to the future.

The current number one in the world understands that the underdogs are ready for her. “You do want to play the No. 1 — you do want to beat them,” the 21-time grand slam champion told the cable news network.  She added, “I know I did — but I am ready for that. I am ready for anyone every time.”

She also stressed that she “feels good on clay,” the surface that the French Open’s courts are made of.

If Williams win the the 2016 French Open, she will tie tennis legend Steffi Graf’s grand slam record of 22 majors.

The next time you see commercials for those quick loans, this story will definitely make you rethink applying for one.

When Elliott Clark’s wife broke her ankle in 2003, they needed money to help offset that cost. So Clark took out five short-term loans for $500 each, which over the next five years, cost him more than $50,000 in interest, the Sun Herald wrote.

“Oh, I’ve been called stupid, and they say I should have read the fine print,” Clark said. “But they’ve not walked in my shoes. What choice did I have? I needed money,” said Clark, who dropped out of high school at 17, to join the Marines and fought in Vietnam.

He added, “Those places shouldn’t be allowed to do that. It’s just glorified loansharking.”

What a shame.

While missing Columbia University student Nayla Kidd was found safe and sound, NYPD recently confirmed that the teen went missing on her own accord because she wanted to get away, says the NY Daily News.

“Basically, she just wanted to get away from it all. She rented a place in Brooklyn,” they said. “She didn’t want to be at school anymore.”

As HELLO BEAUTIFUL previously reported, Kidd went missing on May 5. She was last seen studying, but when she didn’t show up for her final exams, it raised an alarm. It was later reported, that Kidd  deleted her Facebook page and changed her cellphone and bank account numbers before she disappeared.

Despite the public campaign to find her, her family has now asked that Kidd’s privacy to be respected.
