Tia Mowry-Hardrict has been making headlines and unfortunately it’s not for her acting. The 37-year-old has had to defend herself several times against social media trolls that have taken issue with her recent weight gain.
While she didn’t have to explain herself to anyone, Tia previously revealed that the extra pounds were a result of cooking more frequently for her show, Tia Mowry At Home.
The former star of “Instant Mom” recently visited her sister Tamera on her daytime talk-show The Real where she talked about her new podcast “Mostly Mom” and a topic of discussion included body-shamers.
“I am a size six, I’m proud of what I am,” she said. “This woman said that I was fat. And I’m like, wow, the average size in America is a size 12/14, and so I guess you’re calling a lot of women fat, which I think is really ridiculous.”
Tia added, “…People have to be responsible for their actions. I have to be responsible for what I do and what I say on Instagram, but not only that, it’s about social media bullying. […] This is a huge problem.”
