Aaliyah set it best, “Age ain’t nothing but a number” and apparently Vivica A. Fox is living by that motto! Social media was set on fire today when word broke the 50-year-old Fox is allegedly dating 31-year-old Robert Ri’chard. The pair first met on the upcoming film, Chocolate City where Ri’chard plays Devin, a college student who moonlights as a stripper, and Fox plays his mother!
The Daily Mail is reporting, the Celebrity Apprentice competitor and the One on One star weren’t bothered by the age or Fox playing his mother. This is a far cry from Fox’s declaration of no longer dating younger men. Last year in an interview with BET, Fox told the network she was all about dating older men. Fox stated:
I used to be so lustful. I would lose my mind over a six pack and a smile, it would get me every time and usually get me in trouble. Pretty eyes, pretty teeth? Forget about it! But, I think now I’m looking for a good partner, just a good man, whereas before it would be mostly physical. Now, I need a man who’s a gentleman, more old-fashioned. Someone who I could laugh with and have fun with.
I guess pretty Ricky was the exception to the rule. It seems the sparks between the two were enough for the duo to make a go at it. According to the newspaper:
He always wanted to be around her. He kept finding ways to creep off to her trailer and they were always having to send a production assistant to go get him to come back and shoot scenes.
Once the movie wrapped from filming, the two still continued on with their newfound relationship by watching movies and sharing dinners together. This isn’t Fox’s first time into Cougarville. Fox has had several romances with younger men in the past. In 2008, Fox dated and became engaged to a then 26-year-old Omar “Slimm” White, an Atlanta promoter. The couple ended their engagement in 2011. Before then, Fox had a well-publicized relationship with rapper 50 Cent in 2003, which ended on a sour note. Prior to her relationship with 50, Fox dated former NFL star Darnerien McCants for six months.
