Suge Knight is in ICU after getting shot six times during a pre-VMA party early this morning.

The former Death Row label head was at 1OAK in West Hollywood around 1:30 a.m. on Sunday when someone fired shots in the packed club. TMZ.com reports that witnesses claim Suge was struck in the arm and stomach. At first, he was reportedly shot twice, but TMZ now reports he was actually shot six times.

It wasn’t immediately known how serious Suge’s injuries were because he walked out of the club on his own before a cop had him sit in a police car. After that he was transferred to an ambulance and taken to a nearby hospital for surgery, and he is expected to make a full recovery.

The shooting effectively ended the party, which was being hosted by Chris Brown, as people exited 1Oak with their hands in the air as Sherriff’s deputies had their guns drawn on fleeing bystanders.

It was a tense affair from the start. Supposedly, Game’s crew got into an altercation when they were turned away at the door by security. TMZ reports that the rapper left, but his friends stayed for unknown reasons.

In video taken right around the time of the shooting, you can actually hear shots ringing out while Chris was on stage!

Tyson Beckford, Robert Ri’chard and Apl.de.ap of the Black Eyed Peas were all at the party this morning as four shots rang out. None of them were among the other people shot in the club on Sunday morning, but the other two victims are seriously injured–one is even in critical condition.
