Michelle Obama is serving us up a good ol’ dose of girl power on a silver platter!

Our First Lady teamed up with Seventeen Magazine’s Girl Power campaign, and let’s just say her words of encouragement are just what we need these days. In the minute-and-a-half video, Mrs. Obama shares what girl power really means and how you can use it to make your dreams come true.

“I believe that girl power is about being the very best version of who you are,” the FLOTUS says.

She goes on to encourage girls to take their education seriously. “It’s about developing every talent, every skill and every last bit of brain power that you have. And to do all of that you need to get at good education,” she says. “That means showing up for class, paying attention — it means really challenging yourself.”

“As I always tell my daughters,” she adds, “a good education is something no one can take away from you. You always get to keep what you know.”
