Here’s the thing though–it’s always about Beyonce. Somehow, some way…Beyonce is responsible for this, but in order to ensure I live to see 2014, I’m not gonna say a word. *cough* Illuminati *cough*.

By now, we all know that King Bey released a digital album like a thief in the night, but then made that same album available in stores as a tangible release. (Because you know the Beyhive purchased it twice). Howwwwever, major retailer, Target, was all like, “No thanks,” to Bey’s epic new album.

The massive retailer claims that physical sales will be hurt after the massive success of the initial online release. Stupid, stupid Target. Don’t they know Beyonce could sell ice to an Eskimo?! They released the following statement:

“At Target we focus on offering our guests a wide assortment of physical CDs, and when a new album is available digitally before it is available physically, it impacts demand and sales projections. While there are many aspects that contribute to our approach and we have appreciated partnering with Beyoncé in the past, we are primarily focused on offering CDs that will be available in a physical format at the same time as all other formats.”

I bet they regretted that decision when they saw the $37 K Bey dropped at Walmart, or maybe the copies of her album that she shipped out to 7,000 Starbucks stores. You know Starbucks are all up and through Target stores, right? #TheShade is so real. Way to get around Target’s “policy.”

But all of this aside, if you shopped at Target recently, your money is in trouble honey. I’m pretty sure you have Beyonce to thank for that. Bow Down B*tches…or else. Clearly. USA Today is reporting, the U.S. is the juiciest target for hackers hunting credit card information. And experts say incidents like the recent data theft at Target’s stores will get worse before they get better.

Here’s a lesson to Target, no matter what you do, Beyonce will always come out on top. It’s being reported that Beyonce reached about $10 million in albums sales with her digital release. Beyonce doesn’t need you Target. You need her. Look at your bad business, now look at Bey.

All Hail King Bey. It’s her year, afterall.
