Kerry Washington is on top of her game and she shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon.
The “Scandal” star, wife and expecting mother graces the new issue of People magazine where editors describe her as “arguably the most powerful African-American actress in Hollywood.”
“She certainly worked hard to get it,” the magazine reports. But it’s not just industry folk who praise the 36-year-old starlet on her success; her friends agree.
“She deserves everything,” pal Joe Reinstein, who worked with her during Barack Obama‘s two presidential campaigns, says. “Kerry’s in it to win it, and she’s winning.”

Another friend tells the mag that Kerry and her new hubby Nnamdi Asomugha are like a match made in heaven. “They’re the same person,” the source says. “They have the same values, and are very close to their families.”
“Kerry’s got her values straight,” Reinstein adds about her equally successfully family life. “This is going to be one lucky kid.”
