Naijiel Hale, the son of late West Coast icon Nate Dogg, is college bound.

According to reports, the football player passed up Boise State and Nebraska to attend the University of Arizona this fall.

The young athlete has an impressive resume, and in a recent interview he said he’s looking forward to creating his own legacy as a Wildcat.

Hale, out of Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco High, is a four-star prospect and the No. 28 cornerback in the country, according to 247Sports, while Scout says he is a four-star and the 20th-best corner. ESPN and Rivals rate Hale as a three-star, with the latter listing him as the 33rd-best player at his position.

“I know a lot of rappers. But I’m not really into that stuff,” the teenager said during an interview with 247Sports. “They’re good people to look up to but in reality, they’re not. That’s what my dad led me to think so that’s all I really want do is make my own name. That’s probably about 90 percent of my motivation is letting people know who I am in a different way.”
