Fans of BET’s “Real Husbands of Hollywood” are in for a treat. According to reports, comedian Chris Rock has joined the all-star cast — which includes Kevin Hart, Boris Kodjoe, J.B. Smoove, Duane Martin, Robin Thicke and Nick Cannon — for the show’s second season.

The news comes in light of Thicke’s recent announcement that he would be leaving the semi-scripted series, reportedly due to schedule conflict. However, looks like Rock has gladly stepped into his place.

The funny man said he’s been a fan of the show’s first season and can’t wait to start working with his new co-stars.

“I just watched the show and it just seemed like they were having so much fun,” he said. “I was like ‘I wanna have fun!’ I’m a fan of Kevin [Hart] and Anthony [Anderson] and J.B. [Smoove]. We see each other in passing all the time. But it’s rare you get to work together and have fun.”

Hart, who is the show’s co-creator, said Rock’s addition to the cast is an honor.

“Chris is a mentor and a friend to me – he’s a guy who’s advised me and basically helped me make steps in the right direction throughout my entire career,” he said. “To have him accept an invitation is huge to me but it’s just another level of funny, just another level of unexpected humor.”

The premiere date for the second season has yet to be announced, but we will surely be impatiently waiting.

Bring on the laughs!
