According to a poll conducted by Gallup.com, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is the most admired woman of 2012. The former first lady even beat out our lovable current first lady, Michelle Obama! Clinton has taken this title on 17 different occasions, dating back to the first year of her role as first lady in 1993. In 1995 and 1996, Clinton lost to Mother Teresa, but I guess that’s not really considered a loss because it’s Mother freakin’ Teresa!

Each year, Gallup poses an open ended question to Americans, asking them to name, without prompting, the man and the woman they most admire living in any part of the world. Along with Michelle Obama, Oprah Winfrey and Condoleezza Rice are right behind Clinton on the most admired list.
