Congrats are in order! Miss USA, Olivia Culpo was crowned Miss Universe last night. The twenty-two year old beauty competed alongside some of the most stunning and amazingly beautiful women from all over the globe.

And to make this even sweeter for the Boston University sophomore, Olivia is the second American to win the Miss Universe title since Brook Lee won in 1997.

She was asked whether she had ever done something she regretted:

“I’d like to start off by saying that every experience no matter what it is, good or bad, you’ll learn from it. That’s just life,” Olivia said. “But something I’ve done I’ve regretted is probably picking on my siblings growing up, because you appreciate them so much more as you grow older.”

Her answer was honest and relatable. I realized then she was the winner. Perhaps the judges felt the same. Or it could have been all the stunning gowns she sported during the competition. Out of the 88 competitors she stood out on every stage appearance.  From her tight navy blue mini-dress with a sequined bodice, her purple and blue bikini with just enough sexiness, to her wintery red velvet gown with a plunging neckline from the Georges Hobeika fall 2012 Haute Couture line–she completely owned this competition.

#TeamBeautiful sends a huge CONGRATS to Miss Universe Olivia Culpo.
