What does “having it all mean?” This past weekend, #TeamBeautiful posed that very question in a room full of female executives, directors, entrepreneurs, authors, writers and lawyers. Each woman had a different answer, but there was one constant theme, that “having it all,” is subjective and should be defined by the individual and not based off society’s expectations. The thing is, is “having it all” even attainable and what does “having it all” even mean?

As women we sacrifice so much of ourselves for our mate, dedicate so much of our time to our careers and take care of the kids in between. “I think that you can have it all but you’re not going to do it all great,” said a poignant Viola Davis, who seems to be managing “having it all” with a surging career and love interest on her arm. “A former teacher of mine came up to me, cause I was asking her about her son and how he was doing,” she continued. “He was having some hard time going through a divorce, and she said ‘nobody teaches you about failure.'”

Wise words! Find out what the rest of the ladies had to say about “having it all.”
